How to get Free Calling to your House with Skype

NOTE: THIS ONLY WORKS FOR PEOPLE THAT LIVE IN THE USA

Hey everybody. Armadyl here writing my 5th guide on how to get Free Calling to your House with Skype. This involves registering a 'business' on google and then calling it with google's 411 number.

For this guide you will need to download Skype: http://www.skype.com/go/getskype
You will also need a microphone of some sort for your computer.

Step 1: Go to the following website: http://www.google.com/local/add

Step 2: Click on "Add a Business".


Step 3: Fill out the information. You have to put in correct information, or else you won't be able to call yourself!


Step 4: You will get a page saying google is verifying your business. This is good. You will be immediately redirected to another page.


Step 5: There is more information you have to fill out. This can all be fake, such as hours or payment options. Click the submit button when you are done.


Step 6: Google will ask you how you want to validate your business. I personally did phone. I have not done postcard before. With the phone they just call you and you have to type some numbers the phone told you. When you decide which method you want click the 'Finish' button.


Step 7: Now that we have our business set up, you need to use skype to call. Open up Skype.

Step 8: Call the number: 1-800-466-4411


Step 9: Google will ask "What city and state?". Tell them your city and state. Next they will ask for the name or type of company. Tell them what you named your business. Confirm that is who you want to call.

Step 10: Your phone should start to ring. If it did you completed this guide successfully!

NOTE: You can also make free calls a different way. Create a new account every time that you want to call a number. You get 1 free phone call with every skype account you make.

That's all for this guide. You can add as many phone numbers as you want. Free calling for everybody

 

Could you do this to get RS pins?

 

No you cannot.. as you cannot call long distance.. i believe... or they charge you for it

Also if they find out there could be legal issues..

No nova, you cannot use it for pins, you couldn't verify the number :S

Hi all, I have VoIP service, but would like it to go through all my phone lines in my house. I have a PAP2 VoIP adapter, and would like to use all my phone jacks (RJ-11) in my house with the VoIP service. Does anyone know how to go about doing that? Thanks for any help you can give me. I need your help and advice. Any helpful advice and suggestion will be greatly welcome.
