Why is Suicide illegal?

Which means that the suicide bomber does not deserve the right to life if he cannot use it properly.

 

Is attempted suicide illegle like attempted murder, I am not very familiar with the law.

Guessing the government/hospitals etc don't want to be picking up dead and depressed sad bodies of people who killed themselves.

people have a right to do what they want with their life, they wanna kill themself, go ahead, they wanna live, then live

 

hmm yea its a little strange like if someone attempts suicide in a prison their put on "suicide watch". The only reason they dont want them to do it is, so they suffer and think about what they did, and eventaully die in prison.

 

its not about the people its about the country,
its that the government doesn't want shit like that in the streets or in the press

I think its only illegal because the fact that there taking there own lifes and could revolve around other people taking there own lives aswell or if a little kid sees it it wouldnt be to pleasent but its not always the best thing to do to take away your own life anyways whats the point of it??

 

dunno why it has been made illegal how are they gonna throw a dead person in jail or give them the death penalty for killing themselves. assisted suicide yeh idk its kind of a debatable issue with good points for and against.

If you take ur life, it can hurt other people and they might have the same thoughts as you so technically ur murdering someone lol

It sort of pisses me off when I see a guy ready to jump off a building because he wants to end his life, and people try to stop him.
If he wants to do it, let him.



And, people who can't even move or talk and are just a vegetable, should just be put to sleep. I know I wouldn't want to live like that.

Not necessarily. There have been perfectly sane people who killed themselves.

 

Any cases you could point out? If we discount people with terminal illnesses and disabilities, I'd say suicide was the exclusive territory of the deranged.

 

Hypothetical scenario: A nihilist decides that as there is nothing after life, this life is inherently worthless, and so decides to get death over with.

What I don't understand, is who do the government arrest if you commit suicide? Because if you're dead, you can't exactly go to prison..
