    The Existence of God

Time doesnt exist, its an illusion. Time has always been, and always will be, now. For the universe to have never existed, it would have never came into existance.

    The Existence of God

I voted no but i think there should be a scale. e.g. 1 is you totaly believe there is a god, 7 there isnt. Because you i would be 6 as i can't prove there isnt a god but i strongly believe there isnt.

(This is taken from 'The God Delusion) 'I could say there is an invisble chinese teapot orbiting the Earth. It is almost impossible to prove there isnt, but it is highly probable that there isnt.'

Yes and No, I can't vote for both so I voted Yes because thats what my opinion lead to.

I think there is something out there but I don't believe it is 'God' or a 'God'. God is just a stupid, silly made up word which means nothing IMO.

BTW, God it probably THE most influential figure EVER in the history of mankind. Whether you are religious or not, hate God or love him, believe or don't...he still is more a part of our lives than anything else in the world. Simply because the amount of people that believe in him, not so much as even the present time we live in now, but back a few hundred years. People were killed in the name of religion, people obsessed over it, brought up by it, lived by it, made threads about it.

So, I have to say that God is definitely not a "silly made up word".

If you have any comment on how I could be in any way wrong about how you essentially called God pointless, please tell me.

No, I don't believe in any god, It's all a myth, A man that can see everything that is being done? A man whom you pray too but the things you pray for never come true?

According to your reasoning couldn't it be just as likely we were here forever?

Yea...um...i was thinkin about that...and it just gave me a big headache..

Anywayz...i voted no, i doubt their would be a man randomly going around healing people and influencing people to bow before an almighty being or suffer forever. And if there was a god or a jesus...i'd imagine it'd be something like this. (No offence to the Religious ones)

Isn't it also strange how "God" popped into existence?

    Recycled arguments time, w00t!

All you are saying is that because you don't know how life started, it must have been your imaginary friend in the sky.

    The Existence of God

Well, I'd prefer not to go into details. Suffice to say, I hung out with the wrong people. How'd I know I wasn't hallucinating? It wasn't a physical appearance, it was a subtle, yet obvious experience.

    The Existence of God

Well, obviously to know it's the Easter bunny, you'd have to PHYSICALLY see him. So before you make sarcastic posts. Read my fucking post! I said I experienced him spiritually.

Edit: How the fuck would you experience the Easter bunny?

Edit #2: Before you act smart, "I" is ALWAYS capitalised, and "your" in that statement should be "you're", so please. Before making sarcastic posts to make me look like an idiot, make them grammatically correct.

I don't think he was trying to offend you, just saying that your brain can in fact be fooled into believing something that isn't true...which is very plausible. But if you had a spiritual connection with God, real or not..then I think that is basis for a belief.

    The Existence of God

The lack of capitalization, minus a possible gramatical error, implies that this conversation can be based upon a non-Christian god.

I have heard stories that time is infinite, the concept of an oscillating universe, but current science tells us: The universe is not only not slowing down, it's ACCELERATING outwards. The prediction hundreds of billions of years down the line, is a that the energy density will gradually will approach zero as the volume of the universe approaches infinity (and light travels outwards despite clusters of gravity controlled matter)

Therefore scientifically speaking, 14 billiion years ago, a "Point 0" of the universe is possible. Nothing from something. Call it the Big Bang, the Big Spark, God/god/gods, just different terms between scientist and Joe.

I think it was the Quran.

    http://www.speed-light.info/islam_creation_evolution.htm

I know there is a more clear explanation, and I'll try and find it for you but this basically says that Muslims don't think evolution is bullshit which contradicts half of the posts in this thread about religion, etc.
