Visible Infractions On Public Profiles!

Recently I've been really taking to notice how many people get banned (temp, or repealed perm) and come back with no one else having any knowledge of what they've done to recieve the ban. This is quite dangerous, because I would like to know how/why the person I'm about to trade with was banned so that I can decide whether that type of trade is smart to do with them.

Therefore I suggest that the public profiles list the member's bannable infractions. The full explainations don't have to be viewable, just as long as you can see the infraction so you can be aware of who you are dealing with.

Let me know what you all think about this please.

 

If its a temp ban then its more than likely because of spamming/flamming.

Scammers get perm banned or suspected scammers get a TWC.

But those who repeal other infractions or who just recieve infractions for being "misunderstood" (and personally, I believe the word 'misunderstood' and 'Sythe.org' don't belong together).

 

They don't need to be public. Use your knowledge, if they are permanently banned then don't trade with them, and if they are temp banned ask them why. Most scammers are not temp banned with reason as spamming...

 

I think he is talking about after the player becomes unbanned, you can't tell that he was ever banned (unless of course he gets a TWC). And I agree with this.

 

Well either way it shouldn't matter. JoeBob got temp banned 2 weeks for cumulative infractions of spamming... Why does it matter to anyone? A scammer won't be unbanned after a permanent ban for scamming.

 

Would be nice, maybe a meter Red means do not trade Yellow means trade with caution and lime green would be no infractions.

 

Kinda like the warning system Fagex has?

 

i agree but if they have scammed will be perm banned where if temp would be for flaming, spamming etc. but not scamming or something. and if any chance they got away with it would definitely have a trade with caution sign beside them

Agreed. It may be embarrassing for some users to have their infractions displayed anyways.

That's the stupidest thing ever. How bout:

TRADE WITH CAUTION means TRADE WITH CAUTION and everything else means they spam/flame.

 

well i agree... bans, and reassons should be public...

BUT as cfrey said... i think you need to be stupid if your trading/going first with a banned guy or a TWC guy...

 

well i agree because cfrey put it this way if you know you are about to trade with someone who flames and spams when they dont have their way wouldnt you wanna know so if you say you dont like their method of trading they dont start swearing its annoying because i dont like to block people

I don't think these should be made public as some infractions may be private and between them and the staff. If they have been unbanned the staff are sure the removal was a good move.

I agree, I would like to know why someone got banned, and if it was a mis-understanding.
