now 301,139,947 devided between 110 gold medals is a ratio of 1:2,737,635

Australia, 20,434,176 divided between 46 gold medals is a ratio of 1:444,221

thats a difference of 2,293,414. Cleary australia has a much higher ratio of gold medalists to not. At that rate, if australia had 301 million people, we would have 677 gold medals compared to your 110, even tho we know there isnt that many events.

FFS you have 281 million more people in your country, 15* as many, the fact that we beat you in 46 events is quite something.

Australians are better then Americans, the maths is right there, theres no denying it.

I know we don't donate a lot of money to third world countries. Personally, I agree that we don't need to help other countries. It's not our fault they are in poverty.

Also, I never said we're good all the time.. Americans suck at a lot of things where other countries excel. However, sports is definitely one thing America is good at.

 

It doesn't matter who's fault it is, there well being still effects the world. just because you do not witness it, it still does. You have just showed me the attitude of all Americans, so long as I'm right i don't care about everyone else.

A would where everybody helps each other is something that will never be achieved. Americans know this, so they are realistic about the way the do things. If we start helping people it's not like something will click in the brains of the rulers of third world countries that will say "oh we better help our citizens."

What happens when you give $10 to a homeless person? Do you think he spends it on food? No, he buys alcohol or drugs and picks through the garbage for a meal.

It's the same thing with these countries who can't help themselves. If you give a third world country say, 100 million dollars, they will probably spend it on their drug running, military, etc.. Do you honestly think the governments of those countries care about their people? Even you said they didn't.

When you give money to a country, it doesn't go to the citizens, it goes to the government, and they decide what to do with it.

 

just because it wont happen, doesn't mean you shouldn't care. And the only reason why it wont happen is because people think like that.

To fix these countries throwing money at them wont fix it, your right, but there is a lot of other things that can be done, like go jihad on there arses. lol
Something needs to be done with the government, everyone just ignores them and allows it to go on, simply because there is no oil there.

If you became homeless would you buy drugs? Your still young and living under your parents roof, but don't realise how easy you can fall into that trap (especially in America). If your parents died, lost there job, started a business that flopped, you can easily become homeless. People can work for 30 years, get fired, cant afford the bills and then are on the street, these people arnt druggos.

and about how we treat our athletes. Well they've worked their whole lives to get to the point they are. Without any support from the US goverment. Their "parents" have to pay ten's/ maybe hundreds of thousand dollars to help their kids excel. Not our government.

In countries like China, Japan, Korea, and many in Europe. They house these athletes. Pay for everything for them. In China their gymnasts are treated like gods.
