Do you ever wake up tired in the morning?

No matter how much sleep you get.

@Mara45 do you actively workout daily? What's your diet looking like? Are you on any type of sleep schedule or do you just sleep when you can?

I take a medicine called Gabapentin. So, I am always tired. That's the side affect of it. I go running 3-5 times day, and typically 3-4 miles. Diet is garbage. I sleep when I want.

If you eat like shit you're going to feel like shit.

Drink water, eliminate processed foods, eat whole foods, try to keep sugar to a minimum, exercise, and keep a regular sleep schedule.

Maybe you need a consistent pattern. Some people are tired with 7hrs, and require a complete 9 hrs everyday. Maybe you're tired because your sleeping pattern is irregular.

The biggest problem is the prescription I’m taking causes people to be drowsy and tired.

Sometimes yes. Sport can help you in this case. For example today I was in the gym. I go there three times a week and sometimes play football, it is my favorite game. Also I like to watch professional games on 777score.co.uk from popular championships.

Yes, that happens sometimes, usually when I'm in a great stress or went to sleep extremely late. If it's a rare thing, then don't worry, but if that happens often, it can be one of insomnia symptoms and during time it can be worse too.
From my own experience I can recommend you such natural ways of improving your sleep:
    - reduce general amount of caffeine during the day or avoid it at all (especially in the evenings)
    - stop eat before your bedtime, fulll stomach creates great tension in your body and makes much worse your whole sleep (your last meal should be not later than 3 hours before your bedtime)
    - make physical exercises regurarly (it's very good both for your physical and emotional health, and will help to reduce your stress before the bedtime)
    - use special relaxing techniques during the day (there are a plenty of them now, in my case the most helpful was a simple meditation)

Also doctors recommend to check your hormones www.hgha.com/hgh-deficiency-diagnosis and body in general for other possible illnesses which can be connected with bad sleep too. For example, lack of HGH (human growth hormone), low testosterone etc. often cause insomnia, anxiety and depression.

    1. Eat healthy (if it grows, you can eat it. A plate should be half - 2/3rds plants and vegetables, the rest proteins and healthy fats, minimal artificial grains).
    2. Exercise at minimum 3 times a week (strength and cardio in between). (if gyms and running etc don't work, try alternatives like yoga).
    3. Drink water, some non-caffienated teas too. Nothing else.
    4. Supplement Vit D, B6 (and B12) and possibly magnesium, usually don't need anything else if you have a good, varied healthy diet. Most people are deficient in these. Try to get more sunlight = Vit D.
    5. Avoid any and all stimulants, even caffiene. There's always a payback mechanism.
    6. Work on stress, meditate, try to get into any form of nature as often as possible.
    7. Cold showers (horrible, but incredibly effective).
    8. No screens at least an hour before bed.
    9. If slave bound to a desk job, walk every 20-50 minutes around your office. Anybody has an issue, say its medically ordered or something.
    10. Stop excessive information overload on the Internet. Don't live your life via social media and constant web/reddit/youtube/Instagram browsing. It exhausts you.
    11. Look into medical conditions, arrhythmias, anemia, diabetes etc.

Might be overwhelming at first, but my tips are for general wellbeing and energy. Anyhow, good luck.
