Inferno Capes & Bans

First a little history,

I bought my account in 2016 from Playerauctions, and have played on it since off and on. Keep in mind I did not create the account so the original IP will always be different than my home IP. Furthermore, keep in mind I bought 2B 07 in the last month. Then, I completed inferno after attempting it many times (say 30+) from my home IP that has been playing the account for the last 3 years.

Will they take the cape and ban the account? What are your thoughts?

 

Most likely no.

The reason is it isn't a sudden IP switch, and switch back after the cape.
You've tried it many times from that IP, they will deem it legit.

 

Okay, so I should be safe as long as I get it done from my usually play Ip and it’s not going to be first time. It’ll likely take me many tries.

 

Normal people change addresses and change ISPs from time to time, that won't be held against you.

If you do the cape yourself you'll be fine. If someone else does it on your PC, Jagex might pick up on different playing pattern (click speed, locations and such), but more often than not you'll still be fine.

 

yikes, player auctions. Be sure you don't get recovered and lose 2B.

I had an acc recovered on me after 9 years. I didn't buy it in the first place though, it was given to me. I re-recovered it again later and the guy had like 100m on the acc. So who knows wtf. Anyway thanks for the 100m, guy.

 

IP for inferno never switched up.
So you will be fine

 

No, they just ban people who only got an inferno cape from a different ip. Not if you played all time on a different ip then got it. You could have moved houses for instance.
