Fastest way to 60 defense with low melees?

So I'll be at 38 attack, 30 strength, and 1 defense after some quests; whats the fastest way to get to 60 defense?

Planning on getting at least 40 for rune scim, should I get 50 att+str for granite hammer? Train strength at all or just defense? etc

 

is ur goal getting to 60/60/60 or just to get 60 defence?

 

Just 60 defense, idc about getting other melees up.
I think it's fastest to just get 40/40 and then go straight to 60 def

 

You can also do questing like holy grail, dragon slayer monkey madness etc

 

I would train at Sand Crabs if I were you. Doing Fight Arena, Waterfall and Gnome Stronghold would be worth doing.
