[APPROVED] Have a warning for impostors before viewing market threads

Maybe if you do CTRL F5 it'll refresh, but if not then all I can do is either disable the 2FA warning or limit it to other sections.

 

I've suggested the same thing for account sales - a warning for new members to be aware what people can do with sold accounts. I support this, almost like a mandatory FAQ that the new user has to read. Literally 5x a week we will see a decent account getting recovered.

 

110% support this, to many people being fooled, discord is such a hassle to newcomers in the market, many use discord just for chatting & don’t realize that their can be different people due to capitalizations

 

i would like to suggest, that appart from the tips that is already posted in the market forum. Could add another thread that have a list with the information of impostors that already have a report in sythe. So, when somebody of the forum community want to make a trade, could easily click on the thread, press ctrl + f and paste the discord unique ID. i think it could reduce the scam rate and make our community safer <3

 

I agree on a page pop up, whenever visiting the site if youre new and havent enabled 2fa etc, would help alot of newcommers learn that always take a sythe pm before handing over ANYTHING at all, just a popup message that can be closed

Agree with anything to do with impostors.

Especially when we got idiots like Chris Kayne giving themselves a hand job to try get gp.

 

i t hink when a new member registers they should have a set of PM's go right into their inbox with information like this.

 

Some forums already do things like this and I’m sure sythe has a welcome message as well but let’s get realistic who ever reads the inbox messages sent to them when they first join

it's better than a sticky that can barely be noticed. i would read it. if a little effort was put in and it looked appealing it could be read. it could even be made so someone has to read and accept, idk. but there is 0 effort from the staff here to prevent scamming and other things, literally 0. you don't see any type of innovation here or suggestions implemented. there can be things that can be implemented, tried, revised etc to bring down the scam rate. and it would work, atleast a little by little. i don't want to say too much because i worry that anyone that speaks up here and actually tells it how it is they'll just get banned or put on some type of scrutiny. i've read people getting banned here for stupid reasons like speaking up against the owner and how he runs things and whatever this forum is a dictatorship type of forum the only important thing here is the donations, nothing else matters to the staff. if someone gets scammed it doesn't affect them

I like it, a initial preventative measure could go a long way towards minimizing newcomers getting scammed.

 

We're looking at how we can implement this, thanks for the suggestion.
