Did you know shredderbeam that 96% of all atheists believe in god when they are close to death?

I believe in God but to prove that you don't have a good point I'm going to say that animals don't have an afterlife which I find to not be fair, so animals have really no purpose to live unless I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure they don't have a afterlife. I believe in afterlife because spirits and ghosts are real and the concept of creationism proves that there is a creator which in my case is God since I'm a Christian.

 

Why do you value yourself higher then animals? Why shouldnt animals have an afterlife? i mean god created them too didnt he? If they dont, why should we?

 

When people say "oh, it's impossible for someone to have created all this, it's impossible for someone to have all that power" how do you know? You simply say that because all you know is limited power, we have never seen God so our brains cant comprehend it... Also, all this matter "just being here" with no explanation, is just as absurd as the notion of God (but yes, I do believe in God)

 

I do believe animals should be able to go to heaven, because it's like... impossible for them to do anything wrong, but I do not believe they have a soul, because they are too primitive.

 

how do you go to heaven without a soul? Humans used to be primitive aswell, did humans used to not have souls? How does ones mental status determine whether a living thing has a soul or not? We are no different then animals, we have just evolved differently, we are more inteligent, but that doesnt make us any different.

Where do you draw the line between having a soul and not? is it because these animals cannot talk and think like humans? Dont forget that humans are too an animal, we are not superior, only on the food chain but we are still animals.

 

the fact is god is real and if you want to go to hell when you die thats fine but im pretty sure i wont be there.

Honestly, PROOF.

You cannot rationally claim something without proof. I will not believe you or even consider believing you until you make a rational claim WITH proof. What you posted is not fact.

The intelligence of a lot of theists in this thread pisses me off.

 

The urge could also be delusion. I believe there is no purpose in life, we're just a bunch of decaying matter with a few million years of evolution on our back. Once we're permanently dead, our minds ceases to exist and our earthly body decomposes. Our souls? Doesn't even exist. This may sound depressing, I know, but that's where religion comes in - it offers humans hope. It makes people happy. For all I care, people can be as happy they want with religion, as long as they do not attempt to invade scientific grounds with anti-scientific gibberish.

First of, do you have ANY evidence whatsoever that this happened, besides a bunch of biased chuchgoers word for it? If not, the story holds no validity.

Second of, AIDS is a virus that eliminates itself. Usually its just such a slow process that our immune-system fails to defeat bacteria and non-lethal vira. Meaning people usually die of natural causes that AIDS 'blocked' the immune-system of conquering. Now,according to Ockham's Razor, the simplest explanation is that this is actually what happened, rather than divine interference. Alas, why don't God save some of the hundreds of thousands of african children who dies of AIDS each year? I'm fairly positive that a lot of well-meaning Christians, Muslims and Jews prays for them daily.

Statistically speaking, atheists are more intelligent than theists. Be the bigger man, don't let them piss you off. ^_^

I do believe animals are just as smart as humans, but they don't bother with technology.

Sometimes you don't need proof, sometimes all you have to do is believe. =)

alright shredderbeam i think he is real so what do you think happens when you die nothing you live on in another persons body and you cant remember what happened in your last body of course not thats rubbish so yes i do believe in god of course
