Explanation of the trade:

On the 11th January, I purchased an OSRS account from him which we began speaking about on the 10th. Sythe PM and confirmation screenshot here:




He links our chat in that picture, which can be seen here (please excuse his old picture):



We had a couple of issues with Skrill payment, which seemed to be paying up at the time, shown here:



However, eventually payment went through and we confirmed the trade. He provided old a screenshot of what he said to be old passwords, creation ISP, and country. After the trade was completed I changed email, password, and added account authentication.





Amount scammed:

$435 for the account, plus 100mil which was gained through training on the account at the time of recovery. I managed to log in to the account just before the recovery and took a picture of the account (the reason will be explained below).



How they scammed:

On the morning of the 4th Feb I received several emails to the new address saying that there were attempts to reset the password. There were 8 in total:



Before the final attempt, I logged into the account right away to check if anything was missing (hence the above photo) and changed the password. After this, the account was recovered to a new email address, one I do not have access to. I attempted to recover the account twice but both attempts were immediately rejected.



I have since tried to get in touch with Marciakas (Runemarket) but to no avail.

As I previously said, I have been in contact with Runemarket on discord but he has not yet replied as he has not been online on there or here. Whilst making this thread I tried to do another recovery test and found the email address associated with the account address has changed again, showing that the account is definitely active:

hello, I confirm the account got recovered, I was sleeping while @ant191 contacted me, that's why I couldn't reply. Now trying to get account back for him, otherwise we will discuss about refund/another account.

 

Can confirm what has been said. The account did have a bank pin and thus a 48 hour period has been agreed for him to recover the account. Please keep the thread open for the time being.

That's sad to hear, I'd advise you to get auth and a 7-day bank pin and also refrain from keeping too much wealth on the account as it seems unsafe.
