How to effectively deal with bullying

At some point in our lives many of us are likely to become the victim of bullying. Its is not a nice feeling to be teased, hurt or excluded due to the way you look, how you speak, the colour of your skin, what music you like or any other thing about you.Bullying can make you feel extremely upset:'( and have a massive impact on your self-asteem.I have experienced bullying first hand a number of times and have always managed to sort it out using the tips and methods below.

1.Resist the urge to hit or get into a physical fight with the bully. It will not help and most bullies have a gang on thugs on hand to assist them if you try throwing a punch. The chances are that you will come off worst and the bully will relish the moment when he/she is called to the headteachers/principals office and is able to tell him/her that you punched them.

2.Don't bottle your concerns and worries up.If you are being bullied tell and adult or older brother or sister. Its not grassing and the sooner you tell somebody the sooner it will stop and you will get back on track.

3.From my personal experience with bullies I have found that it is useless to argue with them. The bully will often have their gang of thugs with them so for every thing they say they have lots of other people to back them up,regardless of weather they consider their view or point to right or not.If you are insulted or the try to lure you into an argument then walk away!

4.Dont rise to the bait!If the bully insults you or makes a rude comment just ignore it.Or even better agree with them.If they call you fat and you agree what is there left for them to say?Once the bully fails to get a reaction then they no longer have a reason to torment you.Another good tactic is to get a bully to repeat what they said. This tends to take the wind out of their sails.

5.Stay in well populated areas and try making new friends with people who share the same interests as you. That way you have someone who can back you up and help you out in a difficult situation.

6.Sometimes if you can catch a bully without their gang then you can have a one on one talk with them. You may end up finding that they are bullied as well and that is the reason they are picking on you. Many bullies are bullied themselves are end up giving others the same treatment to avoid it themselves or make themselves feel better.

Some good websites for bullying advice are:
    http://www.bullying.co.uk
    http://stopbullyingnow.hrsa.gov/index.asp
    http://www.childline.org.uk

Remember that you are not alone if you are bullied and it is never, ever your fault!Keep safe and beat the bully!:D

Decent enough. Agreed also on that there's nothing to do pictures about but you could maybe add a bit more colour? Don't want to seem to picky though so i'll stop at that. Anyway, my rating - 6.5/10. ^_^

How to effectively deal with bullying

Please if a kid gets bullied it's for a reason, if you are skinny and nerdy then put some weight on. If you dress like shit then dress better. Bullys don't pick on regular looking joes.
I know its sounds a bit lame but just conform for once

Good guide, can use more detail and pictures. 7/10.

I prefer to deal with bullying as
    A; Hitting the bully
B; Verbally Abusing the bully, than hitting the bully.

Now, don't get me started on cyber-bullying.. the nerves of the nerds!

How to effectively deal with bullying

so your saying to avoid the bully? I tried that once last year got called a punk bitch and ended up fighting the guy. Turned out great because I won, even if I lost I put up a good fight and nobody would really care.

my personal opinion, if you stand a chance stand your ground but I guess this would work if you have no training, would rather go into jui jitzu or something for a few months, gain a few pounds and just toss the guy around though.

Kabal you are an idiot.People shouldnt have to change just because some low life needs someone to push around. Its not the victims fault that there are some freaks in the world who just have to make life hard for others.

How to effectively deal with bullying

Kabal, why do you say that :S? If you get bullied, it's because your low on self-esteem, or your easily threatened. It's no-where near an innocent persons fault for an bully picking on them, and the bullies ego is larger than the bullies dick. I still think resorting to violence isn't as bad as it makes out to be, sure speaking rational to the bully is fine, but bullies usually back off with the first hint of retaliation. If you're going to fight the bully, i'd suggest fighting them with similar surroundings incase they decide to multiply attack yourself (gang up on you).

    Good guide ~ 7.5/10
