    however you can quite clearly see cavic TOUCHING the pad, no denying that, and you cant edit that either no way.

    Finally someone with some intelligence on the matter posts.

    I hate swimming 200m breaststroke or butterfly, and being so tired that you hardly hit and the time doesn't register.

    On topic, Phelps half stroke had generated alot more power with his kick than Cavic's kick on its own. So when cavic hit with little power besides his kick and the momentum he had built, it wasn't going to register his time until the palms hit the wall.

    Phelp's power allowed a stronger finger touch and that's why his time was registered first.
