[ACCEPTED] Disallow Valuations of vouchs in thread titles.

than you are taking away from powersellers that are legit and have a trusted presence in the community and they should be allowed to advertise like this. i think the best solution would be to allow this with perhaps a minimum vouch requirement like 100(or whatever) vouches, where i believe you have some legitimacy to your name.

 

The issue is that I can sell 5b to a goldselling site, and subsequently post threads such as "[$4k+ traded][TRUSTED]". Those $4k mean nothing since there's little to no risk involved. Thus, the valuation becomes a deceiving marketing tool.

 

well, i mean that those big powersellers and actually people with legit big trades should be allowed to post these titles and should not have it taken away due to people who are abusing it

 

I get your point, but the big powersellers are already using their donor ranks to advertise.

I mean some is even to the point that its not even valuations of vouches and just out their ass, something needs to be done bout this, it really puts a false sense of trust in people uneducated in the market

If you want to call out certain individuals, let's drop some names shall we.

I've been called up on my title, in a report - and it was resolved as I proved the legitimacy of the value of trades.

If you can't see the big capitalised letters that spell out TRADED after the initial value, and then the "/" before the SECOND value followed by the word Donator, that's your own problem - it's very clearly separated.



Anyway, back on topic.

I support this ONLY if it were to be site wide, the reason we do this is to even keep up in the already over saturated market of 4 million dollar donators, ex mods, blah blah blah that people clog up their thread titles with.

If it was removed as a whole, so we can only post thread titles with "Shop name" followed by what included in the service, that would be great.

But let's not police it on an individual basis.

 

I 100% agree with this and would love to see it implemented. Scammers particularly use it to show a level of ‘trust’ as newcomers will think ‘oh wow he’s traded over $10k!’ But that could legit just be from selling gp to big sellers and then all of a sudden they’re using that cover to shift a high level account which they’ll then recover etc.

Imo only number of vouches should be allowed, especially if we’re wanting to encourage new users to look through peoples’ vouches and make their own interpretation of legtimacy.

 

Support. A title such as ''X billions traded '' generally proves absolutely nothing And the only influx it brings is from sythe newcomers,who are therefore highly susceptible to being scammed for large amounts. Someone who's been ordering stuff on sythe for atleast a month wouldn't care about these things anyway.as they would look for the vouch count and not the amount traded. just my view though.

 

I'm going to start to get real scummy in my vouch titles evals.

 

Just like with vouch count, if you can provide proof to back up your vouch valuation, you're allowed to post it. But only if you have proof. If someone has a vouch valuation but is unable to provide clear proof to back it up it's subject to removal.
