umm not bad, looks kinda like you just put a stock rendwer and text and gausian blur on the stock, anyways not bad for a first sig 7/10
try working with more effects brushes, gradiesnts ect just use tutoirals

 

You should try reading a couple of tutorials. From what I can see you've just played around with the filters.

 

i agree with verts you should read a few tutorials i don't really see any brushing in there. Also the stock render looks as if you put it in there and played with filters and put text in it. You have to blend the render in with the background. good luck in the future.

It looks like you just used a few very basic style tools in ps. I know it's your first, but I'm just stating my opinion.

Keep it up mate! You'll just keep getting better and better!

 

Use a render and make your own background, unless you know how to use it, and also your text shall be simpler next time, I'll try find Boxwood's first Sig which is very well done with a stock.
