    Help with computer start up

Well it just happened I have a custom computer

I had Frys electronics [a computer store]

build it for me but then when I started it up it just stayed at the motherboard screen so I couldn't do anything then after a while the screen fuzzzed and like all the colors mixed

So I rebooted it and it was fine any help?

Have you checked the setup? Like which one should the computer checked to boot from. Also have you checked whether your vid card is fine/damage, also if you have a shared vid memory (integrated graphics). Also check if the one damage is your mother board itself. Best option if you aren't really familiar with hard wares, ask a professional to check your computer. You will never know and you might end up putting more damage (if there is)

May I ask, what that has to do with it? and wtf is a driver fan?

I had the EXACT problem with what you are having and it was because I did not plug in the secondary 6pin power connector into the GPU.

Anyways, can you name me all of your parts?

Are you sure your Hard disk is placed properly?because sometimes when the HD isn't placed properly it won't start because the OS is stored in it.

Was it working at all when you first got it? If not, go back there, and ask for your money back, or at least, they take a look at it.

have you done any overclocking on your 6600gtx? if so, you may want to lower your clock speeds a little.
