I mean sythe is the biggest rsblackmarket forums around atm, and a lot of people visit the site as guests, Well i was thinking why not get a homepage?
So when you go to sythe.org you are greeted by the homepage showing things like new members newest posts etc.

Advantages: this will allow sythe to rent out space for adds (i hear it's a decent income about $50.00 few weeks)This then could go towards my second idea as well as my third idea!

Second idea: A news Team on the homepage, Members of the sythe news team post articles on mmorpg games like runescape/wow, And even a real life news team to post articles on what's happening in the REAL world.

Third idea: I think this might of already been suggested however i am still going to say it, A sythe runescape private server Make it member compattible so you have to pay 5usd to acces features like dragon items + specialised items (anger maces etc,) This could be funded with the 50usd from ad renting + donations to the site...

I will happily manage the news team (have previous experiances on other sites) Please consider my suggestions,

You just joined yet you know so much and have so much to say.
1. Why would Sythe need a homepage? I know where you can go, http://www.sythe.org.
2. We have other places to get IRL news.
3. I think there already is some sort of private server.

 

Hmm well you would get more ad space if you have homepage + much easier to organise, Yes but still the mmorpg news team is good.

Seriouisly this site needs to get some new ideas they seem reluctant to upgrade anything...

 

1. I hate portals. In my opinion, they're so annoying. I'm sure many people agree.

2. We already have a section where you can post guides and such. A real life news team is a bad idea - everything is going to be copied.

3. I think Sythe has plans for a private server. At least, that's what he said in one post.

 

I agree. I'm on a site and we have an Intro page. but our stupid lazy admin won't change the domain so It doesn't attract new members. This should NOT happen. there's no real advantage in it that we can't put on the normal forums.

 

Homepages are for sites with actual content. Sythe doesn't have any content other than posts in a forum...
