Perhaps your graphics dirvers are corrupted.

I don't know about this with vista, but my drivers for XP somehow got corrupted and I got frequent BSoD's. I reformatted and everything was fine. What is the message you get with your bluescreen?

If IT'S IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL then it's almost always bad drivers. if not drivers than bad ram

I know what your problem is.

    VISTA is your problem.

Format C: drive, install WinXP Professional. Problems fixed.

Care to justify your answer?because i used to run Vista on my Computer and it was beyond awesome,it's just underrated because everyone just says it sucks,so everyone say so because they heard it from someone else.

    intel core 2 quad q9300
    4gb ram
    80gb +750gb hard drives
    gigabyte 9800 gtx 512mb
    gigabyte motherboard (dont know exactly)

My brother has the exact same specs and same vista and he has no problems :S

When my computer recovers from BSoD it checks for a solution but it never finds one, so i dont think my comp is damaged or the drivers are rooted.

Also, the people who say vista sucks is because there computer is to shit to run it or they have just never used it.

Try and get the error codes for the problem. It can help narrow down the problem.

Type "Reliability and Performance Monitor" into the start menu search, and hit Enter. Select Reliability Monitor (found under Monitoring Tools) from the tree on the left. Find the most recent Windows/Hardware failure, and post the failure details. The image shows what you need to look for.

I got it once, all I did was hardboot my computer off and let it cool down. I think it has to do with overheating or something. If you keep getting it I'd open up your case and see if anything is visibly fried.

    Hello Miss799 Apprentice

    Blue screen of death

I get a BSOD like every time I'm playing a demanding game such as crysis. my 2 8800GTS' hit around 105C if I play for about 5 hours then it throwss a BSOD. I really need a better cooling system.

But yeah, a BSOD is mostly because of a stability issue.

I recommend getting vista SP1 if you have not yet, it makes it just as stable as XP.
