How Do YOU Make Money?

Hey guys, I'm curious to see how you guys make money off Runescape and how much. I'm a young recently disabled veteran and I'm currently in college to get a software developing degree. Due to my circumstances, I am unable to find a job that requires a lot of physical needs, but that's okay because the government is taking care of me right now. I have a lot of off time for about the next 4-6 years and wanted to get into learning how to make money while enjoying the game I love. So how do you do it? Buy/sell accounts, gold, sell skilling services? Do you make enough to live comfortably or is it just enough to maintain?

I think that the services area is by far the easiest area to break into if you are new to the market.

Doing quests for people, leveling/getting XP for them, stuff like that. It definitely takes time to become established - when you're especially new, you'll find that you probably have to do a few free or extremely discounted services in order for business to come your way.

Even after you get things going a little, you may find that you're actively looking for jobs (rather than putting a service thread up and just waiting for people to post on it or message you).

As far as making a living off of it....this can take a significant amount of time but is doable depending on what areas of the market you have your hand in. It also depends on what your standard of living is - you can 'Hire a Venezuelan' for $1-$2/hour to do most tasks for you...it's difficult - but not impossible - to compete with that and turn a good profit.

Lastly regarding you wanting to work for someone....especially with how new you are, I'm not sure there'd be many takers for this - unless you were to provide them with a significant security deposit just in case you ended up doing something naughty.

 

Diceing Discords, that's just me personally..

It's a discord where theres blackjack, 55x2, h/c, etc. You trade a (trusted) host your gp then choose how you want to gamble it. I can msg you a good discord for diceing

 

Start a gold selling website. Buy gold for cheap sell it for profit.

 

Big problem with that is being able to mitigate losses from chargebacks (this problem can be eliminated if you just deal in crypto or something) or from mules being banned.

For a user starting out in the gold trade, those aren't the easiest problems to overcome...especially when competing against the big boys. Big reason why I didn't mention flipping GP.

 

May be find work with a gold selling site to learn the ropes.

That’s never a problem, I just hope users know what they’re getting into before actually falling through with it. I’ve been on here for 2 days now and lost 120M 07 due to scammers but it’s always a lesson learned no matter the amount loss. Just don’t listen to just anyone, I would advise you to speak with higher ranks on Sythe maybe even pm them and see what would be a good start up kit for you personally.
