the facebook situation: thoughts?

All social media platforms are, along with mobile apps that require weird accesses (like camera, microphone and location when they don't even use it), are surveillance devices, I used to think they were literally watching your every move lol. But it reality they just wanna see what kind of cat food you'll buy next. Selective marketing lol, a talked to a google rep who developed the voice ad recognition. That's where you say something and then a couple hours or days later it pops up on your facebook newsfeed or a banner ad. Pretty creepy

 

something like this just seems scary. i feel like i thought of stuff and seen it in ads lmao.

 

Please don't forget to take into mind that they are also banning people, banning people due to new laws on copyright and anything else they can find around that.

If you're in any trading groups and such, chances are if it's reported you will have your Facebook perm banned.

 

At this moment, Sythe is probably gathering their own data about us. Data gathering is everywhere, its so easy, I know because we also do it at work. I actually support it because it helps technology and management to be better. I think for business sense, it make sense but some people may think that it is a privacy breach of some sort. However, I think not. I think it will help the society by looking at these data and figuring out what should be our next steps.
