Your DATA use on mobile. PHONE/COMPANY etc

Hey guys, so I know there is a thread similar to this somewhere out there in this section, but I'd like
to provide my own. I was looking at the OSRS mobile information on the website, and I found this
quote from Jagex themselves.

As you guys are playing RuneScape Mobile, can you tell me your exact data use? I am getting a phone
plan tomorrow. I will be running OSRS on an iPhone 5s with 8GB of data on a 3G connection. If I can
get away with 25 or less MB / HR (250MB/10hr) I would be extremely happy.

It's fairly low compared to YouTube, Instagram, and everything else on my phone. It's surprisingly very good at keeping the data-use down

 

I'm on cricket unlimited and i get 20mb an hour and other people i've talked to get around the same. Runescape is a game that was made back when people used dial-up so data usage has always been pretty low.

 

Yeah that does make sense, and they said they pre-cache stuff to keep it down as well.
Interesting, getting my data plan later can't wait to see.

 

played 5 hours , used only 10mb

 

That's really good, I wasn't able to get my data plan as my bill renewed so I won't know what mine is like until next month

 

i played at work for 2 hours and used like 5mb

 

where do you live if you don't mind me asking and does the connection drop often?

 

I'm in the southwest and i dont get any connection drops

 

I haven't noticed an increase in my monthly plan at all since playing OSRS Mobile, it literally uses the same as the apps I run in the background, you should be fine with that plan buddy!

 

Just checked my phone and apparently between the 1st of Jan and now OSRS has used 45MB.

This is pretty good as even though a bulk of my play is on WiFi, there's a good deal that isn't.

 

I can't believe it's so low! I thought it would KILL my data. Wow this opens up whole new levels up scaping!
