Haven't made a vector in a while. Since I had no internet for a couple of days I've decided to make a few. 2/4 are completed so I'll post those while I finish the rest.

Theres a little white from a gaussian blur that I did on the hair, didn't feel like going back into Photoshop and correcting it so I just left it as is.
    Cameron Diaz:

Nice, that could work nicely in a signature if you know how to use the vector.
    Good job.

The layers of the vector don't seem to have smooth edges. It's a bit off-putting.

I would prefer to make signitures or anything else on Photobucket, I don't see the need for these, none the less, it's good. Well done!

Yeah I need to work on making the shading more smooth.

There are tutorials you just need to look for them.

Thanks, it took me about 8 hours off and on on each.

I am very inexpierienced at vectoring, however the edges look a little choppy in my opinion. The hair is outstanding though. I am guessing the clothes on the second one are supposed to lack detail, yes?

Your shading is good, work on making your shapes cleaner though.

Lol this isn't a vector or anything,it's just the live trace in Illustrator CS2+
You just drag the image, and click live trace,it's obvious from the shadings, and there's no way an image like that only has 74 layers, the minimum gotta be like 150 or 160 layer, for a good shading, nice try though.

I'm still working on getting the hair right. I'm still having trouble with hair thats more than 1 color. I already told you, she isn't in my interest to do her lol.

Like I said, off and on for about 8 hours.

Yeah I need to stop rushing the vectors and go into more of a detailed & cleaner look. The dress on the second one lacks detail because I really didn't feel like putting any of the designs on it.

Yeah the next vector I make for sure will have to have much cleaner lines because these recent vectors I've made have been very sloppy.

You obviously don't know what a vector is, seeing how its just a live trace and is so easy why don't you give it a try? Also it's only 74 layers because I know how to use photoshop, you don't need to create a new layer every time you do something different.

I couldn't do that but I feel that the shading is too cut-out-y if you know what i mean. But overall I'm amazed at how similar they look great job.

It seems that YOU don't know what a vector is,seriously you come here and tell people it's a vector so that you may look cool or something like that, but this IS a live trace,

Here is a fast live trace
    [IMG]

    from

Maybe the face looks sorta real, because i chose High fidelity photo,if i chose less colors and a different preset i would get an outcome as him though,
As for the photoshop/74 layer, obviously, you stated it's a vector, and you made it with illustrator, not with photoshop, otherwise it will be vexel,a vector can be resized to any size without losing quality, but the vexel loses its quality after resized because of the vector paths on illustrator.
And you DO need a lot of layers to make a good shading, you can't just merge layers, that would ruin the vexel/vector,everyone who does vectoring knows that merging layers is a big mistake, and see the hair on the first one?that detailing alone needs like 70 layers for itself, not mentioning the body and facial features, you know how to use photoshop?lol, good for you i guess.

Hmm, I have a 14 post leecher telling me what I'm doing and what I'm not doing. You're sitting there typing at your computer shit I already know, stop waste your time because you won't win this argument. You obviously do not know what you're talking about, because if you did you wouldn't be talking all this bullshit that you can simply google. First of all my vector was made in Photoshop not Illustrator so now you can shut up about that. Second my vector can be resized without losing any quality at all. Third, I know merging certain layers will ruin the vector, but I know what to merge and what not to merge. Your vectoring is very poor, as a matter of fact the picture comparison isn't even a vector. You should know that seeing how your talking my work down. To me your vector is just a picture with a whole bunch of filters added to it to make it seem like a vector. I cvan see that by the hair quality and I can see that you did not make that hair. For one the hair is blurry which is the effect of using the filters you did. Also the main part that shows you didn't make that with the pen tool is that the background is still there, showing that you didn't really do anything to it. If you think you're going to get any respect for talking down someones work, then you have another thing coming. So please would you do me a little favor? GTFO and don't post on my thread again until you have logical proof that my work is not a vector, which you won't find...

Yeah, like I said. The next vector I work on will have to be more neater and not rushed.

Live trace gives sharper edges, besides I've seen Decisive's psd's before.....

First of all, post count isn't your penis size, write that down.

Shit you know?right, that's why you wrote some false bullshit in the first place, because you know what i typed to you.

Obviously you're the one that don't know shit about what are you typing, and i didn't get this shit from google,i have something you don't have, experience

Wow,and you're telling me that i don't know shit about vector?
First of all, vectors made in Photoshop ARE NOT called VECTORS,they are called VEXELS/RASTERS,that just shows how you know shit about this stuff
Secondly,Your VEXEL can't be RESIZED to any size without losing quality, try to make it bigger with free transform, what do you get?SHITTY LOW QUALITY Image.
I don't even vector by the way, that shows how idiot you are,i just gave you an example of a LIVE TRACE so that you can see how the lines in your vexels are both traced like this one,and those lines shows SOLID live trace, don't play the person who don't know shit on me.

Obviously, you need to start reading more, idiot.

    Let me rephrase that into a more logical sentence;

'So please would you do me a little favor and leave my thread because i have no logical proof that my work is a vector, and i need to look cool on a site mostly with people who can't do graphics for shit, and i want to be the 1337est between those idiots.

Not really, there's a blur option when you want to do a live trace
Anyone can supply live trace PSDs,not sure if you talk about those but, with illy live tracing creates paths(similar as photoshop layers)
all you gotta do is drag those paths from illustrator to photoshop and you're done.

BTW,i just asked 2 of my friends and sought for their opinion about these 2 pictures here's what they said
