do you take pity on those less fortunate then you?

Do you actually feel bad about those girls in Africa who are only 11 and have aids because someone raped them.

or the little three year olds in Ethiopia who are starving to death, and are getting eaten alive by birds.

or those old 70 year olds on the streets who smell worse then a porta-potty, and who will eventually freeze to death because they didn't have a house.

i mean yeah it's really sad and all, but if you really were concerned about them you would go over and help them.

which i would say 99.9% of all the world isn't doing.

Depends on the situation, but in most cases it there own fault

 

Ok, first off, it does no one any good by deaply feeling bad for them all the time, you just have to accept it. same thing as grieving for people that have died, it doesnt do any good, people die every day, should we live our life sad all the time? no.

Secondly, There is nothing I can do to help these people. Here in australia we have one of the highest donations towards 3rd world countries considering our wealth is lower then that of alot of countries.

I personaly, am not selfish, there is just nothing i can do, i need to be able to support myself first.

 

Yes, because all the children dying in Africa just happened to choose to be born there.

Emotional pain caused by someone close to you dying is not easy to get over. What's wrong with showing your emotions for someone you loved who is no longer there?

 

I don't care about them. They have nothing to do with me.

 

I sometimes take pity on them. One time, I picked a homeless person off the streets of Boston, treated them to a good meal, allowed them a wash and a shave at my apartment, and got them a decent enough job (Eagle Scout - good turn for the day, etc.).

Other times, I just ignore them. They're not really my responsibility.

 

I take pity on them, but I don't do anything about it. It is unfortunate that prepubescent females are sexually abused, but unless your incredibly wealthy, there isn't much you can do.

 

In most cases, their intellegence has to do with their financial position, so therefore it's not "their own fault". Their desicions, are due to peer preasure sometimes, therefore it's not "their own fault". Sometimes, they're even raised that way, therefore it's not "their own fault".

If you were told that doing drugs and stealing was good for 15 years of your life by your parents, would you think it's bad?


I feel for people, I really do. It makes me sad to see elderly people die in movies even!

Homeless people? No. It's their fault they dropped out of school (or did terribly).

 

I tend to ignore them, they did it to themselves and they beg for our help? Why should we help them if they ruined their life.

Although, homeless in California make good money for some reason... Just thought I'd say that.

 

I take pity, of course.

I mean every time I walk past a homeless person, I'm from Chicago so it's everywhere, I feel bad.

It's just sad.

It's not always their fault either, I mean who knows the story behind it.. anything could have happened.

The truth of the matter is, there is really nothing you can do about it.

Giving them money really just makes the situation worse because you're encouraging the negativity and pretty much reassuring them that they can just sit there and expect people to just give away money.

 

Pity doesn't solve anything.

 

Yeah, probably in YOUR COUNTRY but in other countries that isn't the case you bigheaded son of a fuck.

 

Nothing, im talking about people half way across the world you dont know. no piont getting upset if you dont even know them, because you would always be upset.

Oh and another thing, we dont have homeless people everywhere in australia, our government actually looks after us. I have never seen a homeless person sleeping on the streets.

And some homeless people have college degrees so they all didn't drop out of school dumb shit. They just dont have a good work ethic or they have bad habits ect.

 

To be entirely honest, in this modern generation, pity gets you no where.

You won't receive and award or have things handed on a silver platter for parting with some pity.

I often pity things, but not as often as a sinner.

It's either their fault, or the fault of others. Since I can't find out which, I ignore.

I can't help but to feel bad about the smallest things, even if that person deserves more wrongful things. For some reason, I just cannot help it. If someone is a douche bag to people, and I'm a douche bag to him, BARELY, I feel bad.

Poor people make me always feel bad.

 

When thinking about such terrible luck from being born into the situations listed, its difficult to even believe there is a God.
