I think a lot of people could benefit from seeing this

 

So as someone that has play poker on and off professionally for the last few years, I completely agree with a lot of this. I don't play any games that I don't have edge in. No slots, no craps, no blackjack. These games are all EV- investments. You will never win long term.

For a lot of people, lack of awareness, self-control, and genetic disposition to addiction are all major reasons why gambling can become such a problem.

At the same time, I WILL find myself giving in to the temptation to stake or dice occasionally. RSGP is not a valid source of money for me, neither is it something I spend a ton on. I consider it a fun experience that I'm happy to pay for - perhaps that's hypocritical, but by separating the GP / USD, it's worked for me.

Learn a lot about yourself when taking drugs? what's to be learnt? it's all greed if you do not have an edge, when ur down, you want to break even, when break even, to be up, then you go down and the process repeats. Then you come back to make the previous amount back

 

I hope you understand that majority of your clients are gambling addicts.. Show them this video before selling gold.

 

Not actually, and I would be happy if some stop gambling. We tap into other different marketing structures than bulk sellers of gold or most websites. Most websites would appeal for discord users(gamblers on rs, normally chace prices on discord)

Our higher ticker clients have twisted bow on their acc and we have over 2k in current powerleveling orders with them alone. If they want to buy gold gambling and I hear about it, i do warn them. @nicholas desantis was buying bils off me for a friend who was gambling, and i kept telling him to stop, eventhough that was 2-3k revenue a day on some days. Also the chargeback risk for us if the client is a gambler is probably over 70% higher than on other cases which makes gold unprofitable with our chargeback percentage.

 

Gambling is a game of chance when it comes to things like slots and crap you don't have control over.
If you're going to play slots, your best bet would be to go play a machine really slowly near someone who's hammering their
button. After a whole bunch of losses, maybe you should hop over to their machine and give it a go.

I don't gamble but I do on OSRS sometimes and let's just be honest, those odds aren't even close to what they should be until
you start getting into the 1000's of duels. You can always lose or win 10 in a row.

Gambling is addicting because it's one of those things that puts you into the present moment. While that slot machine is spinning,
while that ball is going around the wheel, while all those bright lights are giving you a euphoric sense of the now, you get sucked
in. All you're worrying about is that one present moment, the go big or go home risk factor that's drawing your heart & soul into
this moment. That's the type of feeling that makes someone addicted to gambling, the adrenaline of not thinking about anything
else but right now because of how terrifyingly intense it is.

 

Too many people think the Martingale betting system is infallible.

Reminds me of a kid that blew $4k on prostitutes, then took out a student loan and blew another $7k on them.

An addiction is an addiction, no matter the form. Some people are more prone than others (like the guy that threw away $7k on prostitutes - he was a virgin during his first spend and got hooked beyond that) and need to be aware of that before partaking in activities that can activate the pleasure centre of the brain.

gambling is the worst. i remember i had a year and a half where i enjoyed going to casinos and sometimes blew my whole week's cheque there like a dummy. i hated it, and i haven't been back for years and never will. gambling is just the stupidest money you can spend ever.

Good video, Addicts wont confess and think this is a shit video. The only thing that u can live of is poker. If you have a good bankroll management. I go casino often but I know the limits and play with money i can lose.

 

Gambling is really bad. The odds are almost always against you. You can make a lot one day doing some yolo bets, but you'll most likely return the next day thinking you'll win again. The result? Wiped out. No self control. Bad risk management. Not even any patience because the prospect of gambling is to get "rich" fast.

Worst of all, a lot of gamblers take loans (from friends and family) and dig their graves even deeper.

 

i hate gambling, i seen so many people just turn into a different person from it. even staking, staking is the same thing. im happy i don't care for gambling i don't even stake, rarely ever just for fun if im with friends and we throw in a small stack each.

 

As long as you have infinite funds, martingale system is the one!
