WoW is not the first game to use mana.

True statement, Maul. However, notice the difference. Runes are in a browser game. Mana - Most download able, ect.

As for the spells and such, something along the lines of WoW would mainly be selective, I suppose. Cool down times, so things don't get too overpowered, but not those MASSIVE cool down times, so it doesn't seem EXTREMELY hard to do anything.

Mana, or whatever else is would be called, is okay. :]

120 seconds is rediculous, no matter what the spell hits, the person could easily of healed the amount in that time =) and generally the harder it hits the higher level it is, meaning you are higher level, meaning the people you fight are high level and have higher hp.

Okay, here's my proposal - Yes, the noob on his first post is proposing an idea to a concept he is not even sure of.

Mana is used to cast spells from nothing (All spells can be cast using mana; ie, combat, non-combat)

Mana can also be used to enchant/bless/create ( << Or whatever you wish) a certain item that, when initiated casts a spell.

For example (I will use Runescape-like terms); I am about to enter the Wilderness to do some PKing. As a back up I use my mana to bless some 'stones', I bless the stones with 'Fire Wave'. I let my mana recharge and I go to the Wilderness and I attack someone. I'm smashing the hell out of him when :O NO MANA. I use my 'Fire Wave Stone' to cast the spells.

Everyone see where I'm coming from?
