How to Make, and Trick Your Friend With a Fake Virus!

In this guide, I'll show you how to make a harmless "virus" that will trick your friends into thinking they got hacked or something like that.

Step 1:

Right click on your desktop, and click New > Shortcut.



Step 2:

Next, type in the little pop-up window "shutdown -s."



Step 3:

Next type "-t 30," so the whole thing should look like this: "shutdown -s -t 30." The -t 30, means that the time it will take to shut down is 30 seconds. The number 30 can be changed to your liking. It could be 5 seconds, 1000 seconds, or whatever you like.



Step 4:

Now, type in after that -c "TYPE YOUR MESSAGE HERE" This will allow you to have a pop-up with a message before it shuts down your computer.

It should now look like this:



Step 5:

Hit next. You should come to a screen that looks like this:



You don't want that to be shutdown.exe, because then it will clearly look like a virus to the friend you will prank.

Instead type something similar to a program that the other person would use often, such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc etc.

For this example I used Mozilla Firefox and hit Finish.


Step 6:

Alright well, obviously no one will fall for that Mozilla Firefox because of the icon, but we can fix this!



Right-click on your icon, and go to properties:



Then click "Change Icon"

Next click "Browse..."



Step 7:

Search through these files until you find the program you are trying to mimic. For me, I'll be looking for a Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox folder.

More than likely, the program will be in your program files:



Once you find it, it should either have a .ico file extension, or for Firefox, it's just this .exe:



Step 8:

Now hit 'Apply' and your icon should change.

Now it's starting to look real.



Step 9:

Alright, so now that you have your fake Mozilla, and your real Mozilla, it's time to hide the real Mozilla. Either you can hide it in a folder, or you can temporarily delete the shortcut, whatever works for you.



Once you have the real Mozilla hidden, it's time to trick your friend. When they go to open up "Mozilla Firefox" they should see a black command prompt pop up quickly, then a small box that will notify the person that the computer is about to be shutdown.

If you accidentally do this to yourself, here's the solution.

Start > Run > shutdown -a

Well, there you have it, now you can send it to a friend, or whatever you like. Hopefully you will get some good reactions. Good luck!

I did this to my school except I typed /remote i then I got other peoples computer "numbers" then i would type it in then hit enter then a messege would pop on on there PC i would put "You just got fucked" lmao.
