    If this were to be allowed, the amount of gold you'd lose from people not paying you back would definitely outweigh any earnings you brought in (if you brought in any earnings at all, to be honest).

    The terms of the loan would seemingly need to be extremely short term for you to be able to keep track of the people you're lending to - which kind of defeats the purpose of the loan to begin with.

    You don't have enough leverage on the person you're lending to. So it's not worth it, many people will just run with your gold. Can lend me 2b if you want, I'll provide you 200M a month provide ID etc :D

    Can't see it lol but wouldn't make any sense lending gold. All of the above answers explain why, and if you have a good amount of gold and want to make some sort of profit, just get into buying/selling.
