I has a virus :(

I think (pretty sure) I have a virus..
Every few minutes I get this message:


Note: My AVG is out of date.

Please tell me how to remove this It is slowing down my comp heaps ^^

Update AVG and scan for virus...

 

It won't. It was a Free version.

Holy krep. You need to scan more. What to do, is

A. Delete the file shown.

Or

B. Open up Task Manager (Ctrl Alt Delete), then View > Select Columns
then somewhere near the bottom of the list, is Command Line. Tick the box. Now, whenever that Warning sign appears, go to task manager to find the program. Open the file area and delete it. (sorry, cbf with pictures)

 

I'll try it. This comp is actually my old one..My new ones getting its Graphics card replaced (Never buy a dell laptop..in 12months I've had nearly the whole laptop replaced..same goes with my other dell laptop). Thanks

About that... I got the exact same thing, and that message came up. Do NOT d/l the virus removal thing that pops up when you hit "okay". It's just another virus.

 

Indeed. If your anti virus found it, it would say so. A popup telling you that you have spyware, and that your antivirus is out of date...?

 

go to google and look for aviast free anti virus protection and download it. Hope i help you

lulz, by the looks of things, your comp seems to be a virus magnet.. just reformat your computer - it'll be a hell of a lot faster

 

Run AVG and delete the damn thing >.<

If you're having trouble with that, like i did, run your comp in safe mode then run the AVG command prompt. It will scan for and delete the viruses.

Oh, I had that, if you click ok it downloads this crappy virus protection program and asks you to pay 50$

Yeah, I had it for a week, I was so fucked off with it.
I went on holiday for 2 weeks and when I came on the computer it was gone.

I know the feeling, it's just so fucking annoying.
It's not harmful, just very distracting and slows your computer down.

I looked for ages to find a way to fix it but I couldn't.

 

Doesn't this fall into adware? Scan delete etc

 

Okay to get a free AVG go to http://download.com then on the righ thand side it will show AVG and just click it and download.

 

These are known as smitfrauds

it's a fake antivirus that is itself a virus.

There are specific tools for removing them. Google the name of the antivirus it promotes, and you'll be given a solution.

These things are a SERIOUS PAIN.

 

I have AVG, and with AVG, you have to move ALL the viruses that AVG scanned to the Virus Vault (There is a button after you stop the scan or let it finish)

Then you go to the Virus Vault and delete them all.
