Mana/energy. Tbh, runes is like the richer you are, the better you are, which usualy aint fair tbh.

We need mana people! I personally would like a pig that you could pick up and hold over your head (kind of like in The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker lol) and when you finish holding it for about 30 seconds it restores your mana! Yeah!

 

should just have mana in my opinion with runes of some sort it makes the rich people dominate which is really gay that means people that play 24/7 and study every aspect of the game will be the best.

 

Why are you assuming runes, or an equivalent item, will be expensive? With mana, you will need a lot of mana potions.

 

mana is much better imo , look at world of warcraft (jusy an example) if u do boss battles and u are stacked up with spells and potions to heal and u still need runes with it its just to much , they should have mana and stackable mana potions

and if u rest in an inn or just on the floor or anything it should restore faster and completely restore if u sleep

 

Stackable mana potions is unrealistic.

 

I have a better idea people, what about a mana fountain? You buy jars at the store and fill it up at the mana fountain, that way no one can be better if they have more money, except if you're too poor to buy jars.

 

or you could get filled jars from monster drops that u ca use if there empty on the fountain

depending on the monster level you get tiny jars , small jars , medium ,large , giant

and there should be some enchantments that you can do to make like super powerfull mana jar

 

Not a bad idea really. Good job guys. But money has to be an object in the game, because poor new people shouldnt be able to afford everything anyways. Money should be a mild factor in how good you are.

 

Of all MMORPGS I have played there has been runes, I see no problem
with runes. They are stackable, easily mobile, and an easy design to create.

 

I think so to, and everyone assumes they would be expensive, although runes can be cheap.

I think definately mana, unlike runes just combinds everything in one for more simpleness

 

it's just a bad idea runes in my opinion why be a mage if your gonna have to worry about runes every time you want to use a spell. I'd rather go poor buying mana potions because mana is basically the natural flow of a magic user will he develops more will to control and cast spells. Which means his mana bar will increase thus learning more effective spells for combat.

 

If we are going to use runes, why not change the name, and characteristics a little. Maybe scrolls instead? and make them stackable? If stones are stackable, so should pieces of paper.

P.S. I'm still all for mana.
