Help with drivers

Hi,
I recently reformatted my computer (dell dimension 3100) and thought I installed all drivers needed but my sound doesn't work, I tried installing a audio driver but it didn't do anything so if someone could please help me and tell me what driver I need for sound that would be great.

you tried the different holes? for the speakers

 

yeah mainly so i can get that little audio bar in the taskbar because it's not there right now

 

i had the same problem
reinstall ur windows
and it will work fine

btw my cd was giving errors or driver and then i buyed a new cd and installed and now it work gr8 now

I'm sure there's an easier way then reinstalling windows... considering I just did that I know I must have missed a driver just which.

 

i dont think u have missed any driver

but i think u should still try finding help
and after that try my advice i am sur it will work

 

Check device manager, see if anything is having problems. Something just might be disabled for some reason.

 

thanks i did that and it works now, someone must have been messing around with my settings >_<
