1) Borrow the item for 24 hours.

2) At the end of 24 hours, borrow it for another 24 hours.

3) Etc.

Now to get serious, there are no more working item lending glitches. Anybody who tries to sell you one is scamming you. Jagex has fixed their system (as they should have done in the first place) so that loaned items are tagged with the originator's account and with a "timestamp" (of which "until logout" is one). Whenever the timestamp is reached, the loaned item is returned to the Bank system, in the orininal owner's name, and any duplicate that may be made will be invalid (and disappear), either instantly if logged in, or as soon as the person loaned to logs back in. It boggles my mind that Jagex didn't do this originally.

To make it perfectly clear:

Nobody can hack the code and keep an item on Runescape.

Nobody can dismantle an item and keep it that way (and I doubt anybody ever could, no matter how many bandwagon-hopping Yum Yum's claim that they or their cool friends did it or that they saw it done).

Nobody can manipulate a Player Owned House or a Construction menu and permanently keep an item.

Nobody can glitch the timer delay rounding daemon and lend an item "until logout", then time the logouts so both lender and lendee keep the items.

Whatever else has been dreamed up doesn't work either. The item may hang around a while, but when the timestamp expires or the menu used to stall the disappearance of the item is closed, the item is invalid and will vanish.

In other words, don't believe anybody who tells you that they have an item lending glitch that allows you to keep the item. None exist anymore, and saying 'u cant say dat coz u dun kno every thing so stfu' doesn't change it.

(EDIT: I've withdrawn my challenge, because the one Carl Erickson offers later in the thread is much better from the potential item-duplicator's point of view and offers them more money and full gold value for the duplicated item. Go check that one out.)
