*I'm writing this on behalf of @KyleSwapz & @Mr Extremez. Very confusing scam so bear with me plz.*​

Terms of Trade:
@Mr Extremez was mm'ing a trade between @Dabadoo & @KyleSwapz. 61m 07 <-> RS3 Swap. He was to receive the 07, then wait for confirmation from both parties that the RS3 was exchanged, then he would pay @Dabadoo.


How They Scammed:
This is a very confusing scam, and I am still confused. We all are, but after reading the dialogue between everyone in group, we're fairly certain @Dabadoo created 2 separate discord groups and was using 3 different discords.

He had KyleSwapz#9614 + 360322921878519808 (https://i.imgur.com/fvnSG5X.png) which was the imposter and fake Kyle (who changed their name to an imposter @Mr Extremez which was the imposter OMM in @KyleSwapz's group) . This discord scammed someone for 500$ the other day as well under an @Assassin imposter.

He also had his own discord that was in both groups at the same time: T33N#9871 + 466843063420059658 (https://i.imgur.com/OjGOEjn.png). There must have also been another fake kyle in group with @Mr Extremez that was relaying the info (loc/rsn) back and forth because @KyleSwapz traded the correct RSN in @Mr Extremez's PM. He was told by both fake Kyle (@Dabadoo) and @Dabadoo that they would handle the rs3 trade which they "did." Once they both confirmed, @Mr Extremez paid Kyle but it was the fake one and hence got scammed 61m 07. The groups were disbanded/ @Mr Extremez & @KyleSwapz was kicked immediately upon the 2nd trade. This seems to be a MITM scam on steroids. I'm still trying to puzzle it together.

- @Dabadoo in the screenshots below, you'll see him say something to the affect of "I paid so i closed to group." He closed both groups so the messages can't be retrieved.

- Payment received from @KyleSwapz, who trades the RSN in the pm he received from @Mr Extremez, but wasn't actually in the group with him. As mentioned, the info was just being relayed back and forth.

- Pm's of us in a group after this scam took place where i had to pick the relevant messages out of a 400+ message group. I recorded the whole group from beginning to end if a Staff member would like to see it.

I've DNT'd @Dabadoo for the time being as i look into this, he will need to post from a Home IP for me also.

 

Was there any sort of confirmation PM sent out where you confirm unique ID's @Mr Extremez?

 

Its the middleman's job to verify both parties and ensure the correct person gets paid. Had there been a confirmation PM including the unique ID's of each user, this could probably have been avoided. You should also be the one in control of the group DM so you won't ever lose the messages or be kicked.

@Mr Extremez will need to pay @KyleSwapz the 61M 07 that was scammed by an impostor to resolve this

Edit: I've also spoken to @Mr Extremez and have applied a DNT as he works with the user to resolve this

 

Alright I’ll message Kyle and refund him as soon as I can get the funds. Currently struggling to pay my rent so I will have to try to work overtime this week and hopefully get enough to pay him. Sorry guys!

 

I have been in contact with @KyleSwapz and we have made an agreement of me giving him one of my personal accounts in exchange for the lost gold. I told him I will also help sell the account when I have my do not trade removed. Thanks for your guys patience @Pendulum
