So how do you buy RSN names if theres a 32 day grace period. You cant instantly transfer names anymore.

 

Once a name is changed twice it will free it up and make it available to take. The first change will make the name your "previous name" and still link it to the account, but once it's changed again then anyone can take it.

 

So I tried it last night. And the guy asked for my account info. I'm assuming that's not part of it. Which already made me not want to do it again

 

find a trusted middleman if you feel uncomfortable doing it with someone. unless that person is trusted (has a good vouch page, or is high donator) then it's almost always best to seek out someone to handle the trade for you.

That person will take both of your accounts, and the payment, and do the swap himself. Once he's done and the name is safely secured he will give the payment over to the seller.

 

Well that person was but then I told him I didnt want to do it and he logged with my gp and stopped messaging me.

 

Then that person was most likely a scammer. If it was a sythe member then you should make a scam report. If it was just someone random in game, then there's nothing you can do really.. My best advice is always seek a middleman or ask the advice of a veteran. There are A LOT of scammers in this business sadly

 

It all depends buddy. If you don’t want someone like myself logging into your account for me to transfer the name from my possession to yours than I won’t transfer with responsibility meaning we do a countdown & when I release that name, you either grab it or not. One other way is to just give you the account that the name is on so you can transfer yourself. Youcan also pay for a transfer service something I provide or others. You can always use a Middleman which will hold the money during the transaction, this doesn’t mean you get the money if we did a countdown though, unless stated otherwise.
