PayPal Section?

I think Sythe.Org should have a PayPal section of the forums. In this section there would be all of the Staff's known PayPal emails so that no one can get scammed by impersonation, and at the same time, if anyone has any questions about PayPal, they can be asked there. I also think that there should be a separate category/rank for PayPal MiddleMen. This would separate the normal MMs from the ones that are PayPal experts, and make them specialize in PayPal transaction. Just a thought.

 

Firstly, not all staff have paypals, nor do they need to.

Secondly, if said list should exist, it wouldn't need to have its own forum.

Well not a lot of people really give a shit what you think. Besides, clearly the staff that don't have a PayPal, wouldn't be on the list. And I was suggesting several things. Just because I suggested a PayPal list, it doesn't obligate the mods to include a forum too, genius. Besides, the PayPal MM thing is still a good idea, there are a lot of Runescape trades here on Sythe that use PayPal, and so do a lot of sellers. So the PayPal MMs would be useful.

Well the PayPal section would also be for all those people seeking knowledge about PayPal that do not want to wait on the phone for hours on end. A sticky would be useful whether the new PayPal section is accepted or denied. I kind of suggested several things at once

 

This isn't necessary. There is plenty of information on PayPal in the black market section.

A simple PM from the MM is more than enough.

 

Not really, besides this would sum all of that information into one spot. And, it would offer a section for unanswered questions and in-depth problems for PayPal users, which trust me, are a LOT.

 

Regarding the paypal MM's, we're not going to go through and pick out each and every MM who is "experienced" with paypal. There's no need in my opinion for a whole new forum for this. We've managed to thrive for 3 years without this forum, and isn't a multitude of people daily asking questions about paypal.

Your main reason behind the list was to diminish impersonation, correct? There's already a solution to that: Requesting a PM from the person.

Agreed, This would be a good idea and not a good idea at the same time.

First of all, You would be able to check for impersonators. But why when you should know the paypal email adress anyway. Other wise why trade?

Secondly, Though it may need a stickied list on somewhere (I don't know a good place for it really ). There would still be no need for a whole forum section dedicated to it.

Lastly, If you don't know to how use paypal etc.. There are plenty of guides around in the Old section of the guide section. Go have a look might find something useful while your'e there.

You wouldn't be going through every MM and picking them out. The middlemen who know that they're experts with PayPal would simply speak out.

Who's we? You've only officially existed on this website for a year and a half, not even two years, what are you talking about? I think Sythe managed to SURVIVE for three years without this forum; Sythe wasn't exactly thriving these past three years with database losses and Runescape updates making things more difficult. Besides, just because Sythe existed for three years without something, it doesn't mean that adding that something won't make the website better. You have to learn to think outside of the box. Come on now, I feel like I'm talking to a kid.

Not really. The person's Sythe account can be hijacked. So the so called "middleman", would actually be the hacker. Now that the hacker is in charge of a Sythe account, he can tell the person in the trade that he's MMing to send him the money; right into the hacker's personal PayPal. But if there was a list, he couldn't do that now, could he?
