Won_Gold Impersonator but had PM confirmation??

Just to start off with a few things. I've been on this forum for all about 5 months and the amount of people who try to scam on here is so insane. I'm glad there are guides on the boards to help people but holy crap, in my 10 years in MarkeeDragon/EpicNPC/Ownedcore/Mmo-owned, I've never had such an ocean of filth.

Anyways, screenshots will speak for themselves. Guy claims to be Won_Gold, but he says he PM'd me at the exact time I got a real PM from Won_Gold. I don't know how he could've planned for this but figured it's worthwhile.

I don't know if there's anything to be done as the Discord in the images below do NOT match Won_gold's Discord information in their forum signature but again, not sure how they could've timed the PM like that.

Fake mod messaging me

 

This is done by the scammer impersonating you and Won at the same time, he gets into conversation with Won and asks them to PM you to trick you into thinking you are speaking with the correct person.

Follow this thread from now on: Discord PM Template and this will prevent you from being scammed by this method.

Also glad @Won_gold o_0 sent you a warning, that was very nice
