    Thinking of getting a dog

Do you live alone? If so I'd recommend a small dog. Most likely wouldn't mess up the house when you're gone lol. Or maybe get a dog that is a few years old already.

i can recommend aussie shepherds all day. worked w/ a few doberman's in the past, they had separation anxiety and would nip you if you turned your back to them. unsure if this is common w/ the breed

    Thinking of getting a dog

If your thinking of getting a dog, just think about the responsibility before you buy one. You gotta think if you can give this dog the best life and can give as much attention and effection. I own 20 + dogs and it is a lot of responsibility however if you can cope with the responsibility you should get a daxon :)

Based on this, I do not think you are ready to get a dog. A dog requires a lot of time and patience. At 6 months of age, the dog is still a puppy and not even full grown. Having a dog jumping around like that between families is stressful for the dog as well.
Please don't get a dog just because you want one as you will have to commit to this for the next 10 + years. I assume you are still a student, how would you afford the food, toys and vet bills? Owning a dog is going to cost you $1000-2000 per year.

I completely disagree. At 6 months, a puppy is nearing adulthood and will retain most of everything you're teaching him versus if he was earlier in age. Puppies sleep for most of the day anyways, and would be sleeping anyways during the school day.

Tbh if you are 100% certain, no less, that the dog will have the best possible life it can get with you then get one.
But keep in mind a dog requires a lot of attention, a garden is very much recommend too!
But always ask yourself, can I offer my pet a good life with my current living situation/condition, if yes, again, go get one!
