Music, what kind would you prefer for the MMORPG?

You need music that's going to base well with the time of the game, ie. when I hear rs's music I think of kings.

the game should have a music system where you can put music you listen to on some kind of music toolbar in game and you can designate certain music to certain areas of the game. you should also be able to share music with other players.

Yeah our own music, but if anything is should be classical and smoothing
maybe music they used in middle ages, such as instruments not so high-tech.

 

it depends on the area

of there would be forests in there it would be slow music
but if you would have epic bosses int he game it should be heavy music
and stuff like that

 

diablo style music. I honestly want it to be just like diablo 2 lod not the new one. So classical crazy lol.

I'm thinking there should be an option for both (As said above). There should be a file where you can upload Mp3 files so you can listen to whatever music you wanted to, and even designate certain songs to certain areas. That would be cool. However, there should still be the option to go with music based around the time period of the game.

 

ide say rap and hip hop but thats a bit stupid for a mmorpg based 100's of years ago
so lets steal Runescapes music and remix it up so jagex cant claim on copyright hehe

 

Meh, Id probably choose to have a seperate file for Mp3's aswell. The Moparscape thing was a decent idea. I can tinker around in Guitar Pro to more than likely make something that'll suit any situation.

yeah if the game has a client you should be able to import your own music

runescape music is pretty well....shit and thats the only type of music that goes with mmorpg's

 

Yeah this is what i was gonna say it would be a really nice feature.

 

Okay. I'm taking that the folder suggestion is loved by majority.
So what about, you could also have an option where it says
"Play this piece of music when.."
You are in a pvp-area
You are on a quest
You are partying with your friends
You are just travelling
etc.

 

as i said earlier i also think there should be a way to share music in the game if someone has a song you really like you could even trade it for in-game items.

 

Techno music, otherwise, Just importing your own music would be a great idea since some people play good to certain songs like me :S

maybe somehting for all? but nothing too soft or hard or techno-ish. Something all round tht everyone will have a liking to atleast some songs

 

neither i always listen to my own music and turn ingame volume off.
