Xbox 360 Query

Right well ive Seen that newer models of Xbox 360 have a HDMI port.
But i thought all xbox 360s Ran in HD, so why is there another port?
And the HDMI cable claims to run in 1080p when i thought Xbox max output was 1080i/720p?

Im confused can sombody help me out?

It can run 1080p, just change the settings in the main menu by choosing console settings and thend isplay...alsojust move the switch to HD on the cables that plug into the tv.

 

What would be better is if he got the Xbox HDMI cable.

 

Whats the difference though? why Use HDMI when all Xboxs do HD when without a HDMI cable?

And do i need a HDMI if my Tele max input is 1080i/720p



Edit: Think ive figured it out, you only need a HDMI if you want to use 1080p on a 1080p Tele?
othersie stick to Normal with Hd switch and use 720p
