Limewire never connects?

Well I've been trying to use limewire for like 2 years now and I just can't. I've set up exceptions with my anti-virus thingies, used Windows, downloaded like 30 torrent programs, and nothing works. I'm sure that this is because my dad has a crappy ass network which have firewalls that block these ports and he's too retarded to be able to open them. If anyone knows how I can get limewire to work, I'll give them pins! PLEEZE!! I have been using iTunes all this time and it's a waste of money!

LimeWire is not a virus, I have been using for years. I already have you added on MSN added, talk to me I used to have same problem and now it works for me

 

You might just need to check that the port that your using for limewire is open

Contact your ISP. They may have shut off P2P traffic to you. there are two reasons this may happen. Since you've been using Limewire for a while now, you may have downloaded enough that you have become classified as an abusive user. In cases like this ISPs will sometimes filter P2P traffic instead of just terminating your account. Another possibility is that they've received notice that you're using your internet connection for criminal activity, like downloading music, and a lawsuit is being prepared against you. In cases like this your ISP is served with a subpoena or legal papers to compel them to release your name and address based upon the IP address logged in a file being tracked. If they are informed that you're using the connection for criminal activity, they will shut you down.

Try contacting your ISP. I don't know if they can tell you if a lawsuit is being filed against you by the RIAA, but if that's the case and they're allowed to tell you, at least you'll have advanced notice to get a lawyer and negotiate a settlement. I believe $10,000.00 or so has been about average for a settlement, although they may be less willing to settle after their recent legal victories.

 

I would suggest either buying pro of upgrade to 4.18. If that doesnt work, leave it on for about 2 hours and try again. It usually doesnt download untill it has been open for a little while.

Your supposed to download the best rated etc one. I've downloaded 2 infected files with limewire, but no biggie you just scan before opening, duhhh.

 

Lol I use frostwire noobs who get viruses from the gnuetilla network or whatever
are kinda retarded no offense...its an MP3 it says it therefore it is.. You cant get a virus unless its attached to it or you click something you weren't supposed to..
