it's more beneficial to the newer players as the old tutorial wasn't updated on all the new content that's come out as long as they don't get bored while doing it.

 

I'm sorry you obviously didn't get my point. It's R-E-T-A-R-D-E-D. Sure, it's more beneficial to the newcomers as you say, but what to us veterans who just want to make another account to get away from it all, huh? We have to sit through about 15-20 minutes of stuff we already know, whereas the old tutorial took way less time than that. When I first started, the old tutorial was fine for me, I understood it all just well. Well, at least Jagex has realized that the new generation of RuneScape players are going to be immature 12 year olds who need to be spoon-fed every ounce of information they can, just to forget all of it and hang around lumbridge and varrock their entire time playing runescape.

So you're arguing that they shouldn't make a new tutorial to inform the newer players just because the veterans cba to do a longer tutorial? That's an extremely selfish thing to say, it's not like the average runescape player is creating 5 accounts a day and has to go through the tutorial. Who cares if you made it through the old tutorial and stuck with runescape? Just because you were able to do it, certainly does not mean everyone can. I love how you blame Jagex just because you're too lazy to do a 30 minute tutorial. All they're trying to do is help the newer players out so they can will playing. I noticed you completely avoided the entire end of my "rant." You know, about the part of half the new RuneScape players ending up being 12 year old's who are immature, and laugh when someone says "cannonballs", or something of that nature. Also, my entire "rant", is not out of pure laziness as you so bluntly put it. I'm merely stating it's dumb, if you can say that, to have us veterans of RuneScape go through it again. All I'm saying is Jagex's efforts to help the new players are in vein. Also, I don't find it that selfish at all, seeing as how I'm speaking for the entire RuneScape community who has enough maturity to hit past level 50. And I know that not everyone can do the tutorial and stick with RuneScape without being confused as I did, but I think the old tutorial was better. Answer me this, the vast majority of RuneScape players are 12-14, who have restricted times on their computers. The new tutorial has so much reading. I'm sure they could do without all that text to read, as many of the players are just going to skip it.

 

Stop making generalizations when you have no proof of them. So your saying just because they're 12 and immature they do not deserve a new tutorial? Why is this? Just because they are 12 and "immature" you assume they cannot grasp the aspects of a simple tutorial? Ok you just changed the whole point of your rant. First you were arguing that the tutorial was retarded and now you're saying that veterans shouldn't have to go through tutorials over and over again. Why does it matter what people over level 50 think? That is not the purpose of the tutorial. The purpose is to inform new players more about the concepts and things to do in runescape. Once again you are stating facts you do not know to support your argument. I highly doubt that the majority of 12-14 year olds have limited time on the computer. Even if so it doesn't matter much seeing even if they do skip through the text they still have to complete everything required in the tutorial. You're acting like this tutorial takes days to complete, when it is only a mere 30 minutes which can be essential to increasing the Runescape population.

No shit sherlock. Runescape was not released until 2001, previous to that a game called Devious Mud was made in 1999 and released to the public for one week then withdrawn until 2001 when it was renamed Runescape. Learn your history before you attempt to act old school kid.
