    Even though I've never played either of them, I would pick Call of Duty 4. Halo is overrated in my opinion.

    Call of Duty 4, mainly because it is realistic, and you don't have to shoot someone several times in the chest before they fall over in a lame ragdoll motion. I hate Halo because of the retarded energy shield, and the lameness of the weapons.

    hmm have to say cod4 campain is very short! bit anoying but its really great and very relestic, I havent played much halo3 since I didnt like halo 2.

    I don't like realistic fps, so I say halo3. I like how you don't die really fast, and the guns are pretty cool in halo3.

    Halo3 is only good for multiplayer against your buds on the bigscreen. If you're looking for good online multiplayer gameplay, it's cod4 on pc no doubt.

    Halo was only great on it's first version.

    I like both but they all have huge flaws.
    Halo:
    Tons of little kids who yell and act like their cool.
    Everyone in the game goes for the sniper at the beginning.
    For how hyped up it was, the story was horrid.

    Call of Duty 4:
    You start out with any weapon you want, leading to tons of people sniping.
    The perks are bad.
    The fact that a 55 can be beaten by someone who has just picked up the controller for the first time. (I have been in both situations)
    A 1 shot death.
    Horrible hit boxes.
    Story was O.K. at best.
    Tons of old people who yell and act like their cool.

    Halo 3 (if it was just "halo or call of duty4, I would have to pick the original halo)
