Thoughts/help on "picking up gold" for somebody else?

Had a guy who asked if I took paypal. I don't, so he asked if I would pick up gold he bought off a website because he doesnt have an 07 acc. Fair enough, what I'm selling doesnt need an 07 acc. But do you think this could be some sort of setup? Am I liable for any fraud that guy commits, if he does, just because I picked up the gold with my username and 07 account?

Seems a little off to me. I don't really want to risk it tbh so I'll probably let the sale fall through.

 

Yep I accept crypto. Not sure if he read my entire thread or not. Anyways that's how I felt liability wise but then I got to thinking what if there was a chargeback and somehow I got dragged into it because I was the one who picked up the gold. Feels weird.

 

I Think the only issue you would run into is if infact, the person who bought the gold charged back and It was under you RSN, then that RSN would be flagged accross gold sellers, and if you then tried to buy/sell gold off that website with that RSN, they would hold payments/gold due to chargebacks, I've seen that happen on a thread before offsite.

That's worst case scenario though I think.

 

Which would be explainable by saying that the guy didn't have 07 account and I picked gold for him. +Proof of messages etc..

 

You should be fine. Most gold sellers black list PayPal accounts as usernames can be easily changed. I’d see myself doing this if the buyer didn’t accept PayPal and I personally own no accounts.
