PrtScn button not working.

I was told in a different post that inorder to get a screenshot, i must hold down the PrtScn button. I did this multiple times, but nothing happened. I am not sure why this happened. If anybody could help (and tell me why me last thread got closed), i would really appriciate it. Thanks.

You could try take it off I guess, check under it if theres something blocking the way between the key and..the thing that actually makes the key work :|

 

this happened to me on my dads comp... i ended up searching google for a screen shot program...

 

You go to pain then click ctr v to paste it there, after hit ctr s to save it.

 

He's having problems with the prntscn key itself..

Has it worked before or are you intellectually incapable of pressing ctr-v into paint?

 

Lolz, are you expecting a screen to open up once you press Print Screen? If so, it won't work. You need to press the paste button into Paint or another picture editing program. However, if the key is screwed, I use FireShot from the Mozilla add-on to take my screenies.

 

There are a million threads telling you how to do this, and I have told you before.

 

Well, if you're holding the Prt Scr button down, don't. Only press it once, go to paint, hit Ctrl+V, and save.

 

His key to do a prntscn is broken, use that add on to firefox.

You need to hold Ctr + PrtScrn or Ctrl + Alt + PrtScrn

or, If you are on an HP laptop hold down the fn button next to Ctrl and then press PrtScrn. This will add the image to the computer's clipboard. Open paint and press Ctrl+V or press the Edit button and scroll down to Paste.

The maker of X client (mathew..i think ) has made a screen shot taker.

 

Get a new keyboard.

 

Well, thats guys, i tried ALL your ideas and O think my keyboard is fucked up so I will need to get a new one. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR ADVICE, REALLY APPRICIATED.

 

My eliteswitch screen shot taker isn't working...after I drag the screen shot it doesn't save. I took about 5 shots then it wouldn't take anymore. I deleted the ones I have taken and it still doesn't work

 

You don't need the PrtScn Button at all,F12 does the job.

 

Just download a program.

 

If you putting it in paint, make sure your tool is on the dotted-boxes. If it's on Text-Maker or something like that, it won't copy over.
