Osrs Account Recovered

I bought the account in september 8th, 2018, from Idolized knowing and confirmed that @Universe was the OO. Today, November 20th I tried to logon to the acc, and failed. I checked the current email, which was set to someone elses than mine.

I’m not sure if the notifications are working for @Universe as they didn’t work for me.
So it’s possible he is unaware of this thread.

 

already recovered account for him, at some point recovery info was not given, as i sold it with it

@Universe had already recovered the acc for @Jockey when I responded to the thread.
I didn’t hear anything back from Jockey after that, so I assumed he was back in control and playing the acc again.

I've got the account back.

Although I was not aware of multiple people having the recovery questions. Bank was stripped when I logged in, not that it was a big deal.

As @Idolized told me, account went with only e-mail/password change, But @Universe let me know he originally sold the account with the recovery details.

Thats quite the negative news, that other people could potentially recover it whenever they feel like it.

 

huh, found a guy that i sold this account, second owner after me, did it with mm, so mm helped me with all recovery info as it was my begining with account selling, and after he sold acc idk if gave recovery info too, also then he had account he lost it once and i needed to recover it for him.

Looking for some insight on this from the Mods.
I am not sure if refunds need to be issued or what the next best step is.
If I am liable for a refund,
My only qualm is I have been extorted previously, @Andy Samberg can attest to the story, but TLDR I refunded 500M right out the gate to this previous buyer of mine & I shouldn’t have.

Insight from 3rd party would be great.

 

Yeah Idolized is very responsible when it comes to his account sales.

@Idolized don’t give anyone money till/if a mod says you’re to be held liable.

Is there still a issue here? Seems to me everything was put back in order. Not being satisfied with the number of previous owners and what information they had isn’t grounds to demand a refund.

 

I am unsure about this one as I don’t know how we can validate legitimacy of the recovery.
If the acc did suffer a recovery which resulted in a loss of around 30M for @Jockey (Per his and my Discord convo, this was the amount he said he lost)
In which, I would be willing to issue a refund for that if need be.
And to be totally candid, if the acc wasn’t ruined I would usually be open to purchasing the acc back as I could re-sell and I want to make sure any customer’s of mine are happy.
The acc is no longer in the original state and is going to require a lot of time to be sell ready again. Clearly if I am found owe Jockey for an entire refund, those details are neither here nor there; but yeah, That’s where I stand.
Just looking for opinions from all of you guy’s so we can mitigate the situation correctly.

I am not entirely sure whats next. I just don't want to sit in this situation again, where I might be having more cash on the account. Or the guy who recovers drops untradeables (luckily this didn't happen this time). And I understand that you don't want to refund me without a third party view on it, and honestly I'd love to keep the account if there was insurance of no recoveries, as you stated.

I agree, I am not blaming him, I just read his TOS and followed it. As stated, he claims there is no possible way of recoveries, and in a message with him, he said only the OO (@Universe) could recover it.

I have access to the account, but it's been stripped from everything in the bank, not that I dared to put much valuables on it just yet. Was about 30m, which @Idolized shouln't refund, as I don't have any proof.

The only issue there is, is safety of the account. I'd rather not be in this situation again. Especially when I paid 400m for this, perhaps a compensation could be settled.

Also to mention, I just want this settled right, @Idolized handled everything perfectly fine and I do not hold any grudges against him
