Slack / Anti-Scam

I can understand people's wants to get anti-scam reports done, but people are just starting to slack off. For example:

Here, you can clearly see that it warrants a permanent ban (not to mention illegal) and yet it was moved to the archives without a single post or action.

I've had numerous threads like these go ignored - really, what's the point of a report function if they get pushed back?

Or, maybe I'm just crazy and dumb. I doubt it, though. A reply, or something of the sort would be nice to know why it just got 'pushed' back.

 

Agree, it was annoying when like 2 or 3 pages went to the archives with nothing done.

 

It's hard for mods to do so many reports at once.
On top of that, some of the mods are too busy with real life.

 

I have no problem with that and it's perfectly understandable. What I have a problem with is people getting lazy and moving reports to the archives while not doing a thing about them.

 

They may be just too busy to type on the thread. You can't tell whether somebody has an infraction until they get temp/perm banned.

 

That taken into consideration that thread was moved on the day (or after) to the archive and not a thread deletion/edit/lock/etc has been taken. I highly doubt the globals are that busy considering I've had lengthy conversations with a few of them recently.

Well cp_ is trying to deal with some of them now, but perhaps mods should post on the thread before moving it to the archives.

 

Maybe a new addition to the staff will come along and help?

 

I'd like to see staff changed before adding new ones. We don't need new ones, we just need more work done.

 

No one's willingly going to devote more of their own voluntary free time to a tedious task.

 

That was rhetoric. My point is still made, however.

Well, sythe staff is really active, serious and non-serious, they always get the job done. However, on this one - I'd have to say somebody needs to do smething :O
