Awesome how much respect you get when you open carry

Saturdays are my open carry days
Holster it at my hip wherever I go
Unless there are signs posted at the establishment that it's not allowed, which I will respect

I'm not a big man physically, but even the biggest men show me respect

I can walk down the street right toward somebody, even the toughest looking guy, and he will be the one to move to the side when he notices I'm carrying

In all my years of open carrying I've only had problems and confrontations on a few occasions
Mostly guys saying things like "Let's see how tough you are without that gun" when the confrontation arises
I NEVER give in to their challenge/psychological ploy to shame me about carrying

Instead I move my hand close to my holster (not touching it so they can claim I brandished), but very close to it
And tell them "Just give me a reason" or "Make your move"

Every single one of them have backed right down

I feel less safer today than yesterday knowing someone like you has the freedom to have gun(s).

Being somebody slightly trained in martial arts, with my respect & discipline for thesr types of situations at hand, all I really see here is "I am a small un-trained person who is scared of other people & gets bullied / intimidated easily so I carry this gun openly so people don't beat an eye at me"

The way this post makes your reasoning for carrying a gun is very sad.

 

It really comes across as if you are carrying so that people show you respect. If that's what you're doing then you are carrying for the entirely wrong reason. I'm a fan of open carry as well but for the reason you seem to be doing it.

 

How many states allow open carry? Never seen that in my state.

You're not even carrying for the right reasons. Mentioned nothing about all the mass shootings and crazy people that are out and about nowadays. Only bragging about how much respect you get and how big guys respect you. You're a complete loser

 

First, how the hell are you getting into multiple situations where you literally threaten somebody by implying that you'll shoot them? Do you live in a war zone? What sort of life do you lead?

Second, if I see somebody walking down the street, open carrying, I move out of the way because I think, "oh great, here's somebody with a gigantic chip on their shoulder". I promise you, it's definitely not because I respect them.

There should be a thread about it somewhere, but it was for multiple things. I don't think I could get the DNT removed, but I don't really play Runescape/other games anymore, so it doesn't really matter.

wish we had 2nd amendment rights here in Europe. Would change a lot i think

 

People dont realize if they take guns away from their citizens it doesnt take away guns from criminals. Women should have never let their voices be heard in government, the fact is compassion for people being killed by gun violence instead of finding out what instigated or the driving force behind a murder like ALCOHOL/DRUGS or poor households that should have never been given the pass to procreate as they're unfit parents who have no idea how to raise a kid. All these variables and they want to use the Guns kill people instead of people kill people. People want our society to become feudal serfs and one way to do so is disarm your people so they cannot fight back.
