Unblocking site without a proxy

'ping' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

=\ any help?

 

schools block ip, only proxys work in schools, i tryed this before.

- What version of windows do you have?
- Is there a space between ping and the URL

 

Lol, I do this all the time. ^_^ An easier way to open 'cmd' though is just to do...
Windows + R
then type in 'Cmd'.

Saves time and helps if you can't open My documents.

 

Windows xp, service pack 1. yes i know service pack 1 is old. to lazy to get service pack 2. actually i think theres a 3 now. theres a space.

 

Mageinrage, I suggest you do a scan... Ping is a default/always available command, you should always be able to run it.

If not, then system32 might now be in your PATH variable. Try this:

ping myspace.com

If it works, then System32 is not in your Path.

 

yea cp_, that works. I think i messed up my paths trying to fix java =d, w/e i got java working XD

Yeah, that's the problem.

You'll have to find your original PATH variable, and just add them on.

 

it doesn't work with AOL at all, even if the site isn't blocked, you can't type in an ip. which sucks since AOL dial up is what i use at the place that has blocks

 

1. If command prompt doesn't work, save a notepad file as .bat (batch file) which opens command prompt.


2. This doesn't always work.. My school blocked cached sites (IP's)

 

Even if you use aol just open internet explorer while aol is running in the background o.o, thats what i do. Only i use firefox. CP_ where can i find my original one?

idk if this is a common problem, but my school blocks all ip addresses in the address bar. there was a time tho, when this worked and i could watch porn at school. good fucking times

 

Lol you're so unlucky.
My schools homepage is Ip address,so automatically just about any IP typed in there should work,in theory.

 

Will try it at school, will edit if it works or not on Monday.
