Scared of RWT ban..

Absolute bullshit, my mules from gambling over the past years have gotten banned 2 times, once in RS3 and once in 07. This is over the timespan off a year counting a total of 10 accounts both rs3 and 07.

I have a main on which I actually play, I used to rwt hard time on it, multiple high trades per day everyday for months. Now it's a max main and not even a single report on it and ban meter is completely clean.

If it weren't flawed, nobody would profit from RWT. It's always risk-vs-reward for this activity.

You're saying I'm wrong, but your own example confirms my points. If you can get banned on an old account after just 1 trade, that pinpoints how dangerous RWT is.

Everyone I've talked to has similar experience to yours: sometimes muling accounts last a long time, but still get banned eventually. Other times they get the hammer after just a couple trades. Trading volume, activity profile, account age, proxy type and other factors influence how long the account will last, but luck also plays a big part.

RWT'ing as a seller is dangerous for account health, and anyone should be wary doing it if they have little idea of what works and what doesn't. One of the best counters for it is to spread wealth across several accounts to mitigate the losses when they get banned.

 

Buyers almost never get banned in OSRS. In all honesty, I have seen only one such occasion in the last couple years - the guy bought gold on a fresh account and started a giveaway in Varrock immediately. Jagex might've tracked it as bot funding, but who really knows.


If you buy gold and don't do anything extra silly, you will be safe.

 

Any tips or recommendations for someone trying to get into the OSRS selling gold bussiness from a most likely monitored country? Im from Venezuela which im pretty much has me on the spotlight for Jagex.
Im thinking about just getting to really high lvl, train every skill up to 50+ and then get like 1b and sell everything in one trade. I feel like if I trade 50m every week im gonna get banned and my ip is gonna get flagged too.

 

if you want to sell multiple times then I'd suggest maybe getting a proxy to mask your IP.

 

Best advice I can give is masking your IP as MOTS said, proxies are way better than VPNs and cheaper, you shouldnt use your home IP to play the account, even create it under the proxy and you will be safe until you decide to sell.

After you do your first sale there's always the possibility of getting banned but you have more chances of surviving because you're not under the hawk eye

 

Where do you guys get your proxy and how does it work? Like vpn's?

 

basicly, it works like a vpn, but with a vpn you usually have multiple IP's from multiple countrys which is perfect for stuff like netflix and crunchyroll because then you can always switch between countries to get a better shows that you wouldn't normally get in your own country.

A proxy is 1 IP, depending on where you buy it from you can request an IP change but sometimes it's just cheaper and quicker to get a new one once it gets compromised.

Setting up an proxy is really easy, sometimes the provider even gives you a manual on how to install it. Most traders and bot farms don't really share as to where they get their proxies from as everybody wants to have the best proxies for themselves.
A good place to start in my opinion is "blazing proxies", super handy and cheap.

 

Don't worry about it.. I've spent over 4.000$ in runescape gold over the past years and never got banned for it
