Don't it's lame. They just pick fights for no reason, I'd get out. It's not worth it no more, getting caught. Also, you hit up trains? That's noting, we use to hit up the freeways.

Yes it's really sad when they do that. I'd rather see it on walls not homes.

Yeah but by that logic, anyone can buy a pencil and scribble on paper too... Until they HONE the ability it looks like crap.

WTF, stop spamming every third post.

Pshh i don't know what paint you use but if you are paying 3$ im going too guess export... There isn't a point "writing" in shit paint

Fuck the trains hit the walls along the line... more people see them. Exposure is what it is all about.

I do use exports lol, you said $3 a can for Ironlak. There usually $7. Yeh, trains are getting shit because they buff it within 24 hours. Idk what its like in the gold coast but in melbourne its hard.

Graffiti isn't fucking art. It is vandalism, and it costs taxpayer's money to remove because a couple of teenagers try and be "cool".

I've said this before, and I WILL say it again. It IS vandalism. Therefore, do it on your own property if you think it looks so darn good. I think your parents might disagree, though. It also looks abominable! Even with all the "prettied up" effects, unreadable text is in the end, unreadable text and nothing more. Therefore, I wouldn't consider it art.

The only one to say it isnt art and back yourself up. You have a good point with the taxpayers money and stuff, but you have to admit that some of the things the writers can do are amazing. What about legal graffiti? what do you think about that.

It might be illegal, and might cost people money, but then its illegal art. :D

I seriously think that it looks abominable, so I don't consider it amazing. Legal graffiti? If it's a decent mural, then sure. However, if it's a lame attempt to attract youths using fancy unreadable writing, then I severely dislike it.

    Graffiti, art or not?

in my opinion it varies :p. basically i dont see graffiti as art when it's like "al wuz here" shit. i just see that as a bored person writing junk on walls etc. then again you do see almost beautiful pictures which have no doubt cost the "vandal" hours to produce.

I agree with you on tax money. BUT.

It IS art. In it's literal definition. A person that is skilled or actually cares about his tags makes it 'pretty', but there are plenty of douches out there that just scribble some shit onto a wall. I really do enjoy looking at the extravagant pieces of work, that actually had a few trips/hours spent on them, but yeah, it really depends what/where you're looking at it.

probably 98% of the stuff is illegal though. When someone does want something
on the side of their wall its going to attract illegal activity.

There's vandalism and there's graffiti, vandilism isn't art as it's just putting up a name or something else that is innappropriate or w/e. But graffiti is an art as it takes time to think of something and it usually comes out nice.. I dont think I said that very well but I'm quite tired so bleh.. you get the point

I think its a good way to express yourself, but if it becomes a nuisance the artistic element ends.

    I'd say Graffiti's an art.

    It takes skill.
