    Almost correct mate.
Weed doesn't damage -those- brain cells, but it does damage receptors, and while it doesn't kill them, it makes them number and number.
The effect it causes it that a person smoking weeds becomes less and less happy when he's off weed, and biologicly, that effects starts from the first time you smoke, when the amount of 'unhappyness' simply grows.

Also, keep in mind that those receptor can't 'heal' themselves.

Weed, if abused, can seriously send you insane. iv seen it first hand. this guy walks around the street with one arm over his head and another in his pocket holding his pants up. you would think hes retarded, but no just abused the weed to much.

Weed just kills brain cells. You could get those back. As far as peer pressure for Weed. It's really high. So many kids are pressured to smoke.

    There is no "Pressure"
It's you doing what someone else persuaded you into doing.
    Nobodies fault but yours.
If you don't have some kind of mental illness as to you can't think for youself it's your fault.

When they persuade you, that's called pressure. The pressure is on you to either take it or not.

It's not like you have to.

Exactly,I think kids altogether shouldn't try to drag other people down with them.
If Smoking and drinking is cool,I guess killing yourself is too.

No, for them smoking is cool. There killing there lives little by little. If they would find killing them self fun, then they would be died.

You are slowly killing yourself, but I don't think they care/realize that.
As long as they are "Accepted" and get to sit by the "Cool" kids at lunch.

There aren't really any "cool" kids in school. There are many different little groups. Yes, most of them don't realize that they are killing them self little by little. But some do, and they still choose to do it.

    My cousin smokes,he's 17.
I asked him why and he can't give me a good answer,as well as anyone else.
I know he doesn't do it to be cool, but maybe he tried a cigarette once and got addicted on the first one?
    I'm pretty sure that's possible.

The reason for it because they do it because they want to, or choose to. Or, they hang around the wrong crowd of people.

The whole reason you do something, is because you want to.

I am just not into doing that shit..I mean, if it was harder to get then i probably would of started it..because we all know, if there is something holding you back from the object, then you want it even more.

Peer pressure is bullshit, for example. You can never be forced to extent of smoking/taking drugs, if you know the risks. Its just pure excitement, and will always be you egar to do it.

    Peer Pressure

Peer pressure is susceptible to people who try to get a feeling of importance by doing what is "cool" so hopefully there peers would think they are cool also. These people are followers and are almost never really cool they will do anything for them to be accepted in a group, you have to be different and willing to say what you believe even if you know they dont agree with you to be truly cool. But I made a stereotype calling these people "cool kids".

    Peer Pressure

i think peer pressure exists depending on the individual being pressured

someone who lacks in 'popularity' and is desiring to be popular will cave under pressure if theres a chance of getting their goal.

someone who doesnt need to impress others might still participate in the activity, but not out of peer pressure, simply because they want to. in this scenario peer pressure can be used as an excuse to make them feel better if caught/get out of a bit of trouble
